  1. Sharpen your brains people! #1 Who were the original correspondents of 60 Minutes that celebrated their 50th anniversary?!

    1. teganslaw

      teganslaw

Lesley Stahl? I think that Mike Wallace was also on 60 Minutes then.

    2. JPPT1974

It was Mike Wallace and Harry Reasoner. RIP!

    3. southwest1

      southwest1

Mike Wallace was one hades of an investigate reporter. He sat down with everybody. Kings, presidents, dictators, politicians, you name it.

Mike didn't take grief from anybody & he knew how to challenge heads of state when he thought he wasn't being told the truth. Man, I wish reporters today had half the courage & moxy Mike did. Journalists have no teeth anymore.

Girl we couldn't get much higher....

Think Petula Clark changed the words to her song

    2. alawai

      alawai

I had to do a little investigation but it could have been an urban legend on her song "Don't Sleep In The Subway".  The line "Take off your coat and close the door" or was it "take off your clothes and close the door".  Some conservatives were very concerned!

Actually Jules, men like it when women are precise in their suggestions or polite commands. We hate ambiguity & need wives & girlfriends to draw their significant others a picture. A clear, fool proof picture.

It's not that we are foolish. We just like hints which prevent us from getting in trouble with gift giving. It saves time & hinders arguments over rants like do you even know me?! Guys like fill in the blanks women & our partners feel better knowing that our girlfriends will be happy & content in the long run. Everybody wins.

    3. Jules

Donna was definitely the whole package: Brains, beauty, & that voice...Wow!

It's a shame Miss Summer is gone now. Her "Last Dance" or time on this planet was far too short indeed. It still upsets me that she wasn't inducted into the Rock N Roll HOF before she passed away. That's just wrong on so many levels.

You know where you hear a song it's original form by the actual artist & it bothers you because you know it sounds familiar but from where? I'm referring to Billy Stewart's classic "Summertime" BTW.

Then, it hit me. "Stuck On You" the movie starring Matt Damon & Greg Kinnear with actress Meryl Streep...Want proof?
