    Installed Windows 8 just before. Looking pretty snappy so far.

      Yea Avast is just not compatible with Windows 8 right now. I seen an article on it, written just on the 5th, and a lot of people have this problem. It has something to do with the Windows 8 loading process the Avast program dumps it's files in the wrong folder screwing with the load up.

      Even a re-install of Avast after a fresh Windows in-stall has the problem continue. There is a way to fix it, but right now I am just willing to run with the windows defender. The patch doesn...

      It is strange they aren't compatible. I'm sure it'll be worked out soon.
