49ers in the Running for Peyton [Merge]
jesusislord replied to Peyton and Eli fan's topic in NFL General
my post from Wednesday: Peyton played ball at UT. His wife is from Memphis. His dad played with Coach Munchak. I think he already has a house on the lake in Middle TN somewhere. They have the second most cap space (Denver has the most) of teams which are on his list. Got a few weapons around him (Britt and CJ). Titans allowed the 2nd fewest sacks last year and are going to bring in Hutchinson to help provide more protection. It is also rumored that Mario Williams is waiting for Peyton to sign, so he can sign with the titans as well. Only time will tell. I think Miami is out given they traded B -

I Hadn't Thought About This Regarding The Madden Curse...
jesusislord replied to ReMeDy's topic in NFL General
i thought the madden curse was only for the people on the cover, not people with the same first name. -
for most teams this is true, but this is a bit different. peyton has been working with saturday his whole career, and should have some say resigning him. obviously if the terms are right for the colts then we should definitely resign him, or maybe peyton will restructure his contact and give a little money to him.

ok so we are at jax the last game of the season. given the way things are going right now, both teams will likely be out of the playoff hunt. "if" the colts are 0-15 and in position to get the first pick, does jax still try to win the game given the fact that they know we will "probably" take luck and be kicking their butts for another decade or so. are the colts trying to win that game? sorry, not much else to think about this season.

hes good, but has a huge contract. i dont mind have weak corner play as long as we can stop the run consistently, and we can get Peyton back with plenty of healthy weapons and a healthy o line. a shut down corner would not make sense in our defensive scheme since we like to play 10 yards off the ball on 3 and 5.

Jeff Fisher As A Possible Coach Next Year? (Merge)
jesusislord replied to Restored's topic in Colts Football
i dont know if you can give fisher the credit for the titans good defenses. they were good with greg williams and jim schwartz. after those guys left, then the titans defeneses were soft. -
he will be reunited with josh mcdaniels, could be a good pick up for them, but they still wont make the playoffs this year.
-
i thought that harbaugh shoulda toned it down a notch until after the handshake. generally the coaches walk calmly to the handshake, show some sportsmanship, then celebrate after you walk away. schwartz definitely out of line in his reaction.
-
anyone see harbaugh celebrating after the game. apparently schwartz didnt like that too much, some words were exchanged, even a shove? is harbaugh out of line here? he running on the field as if he won the sb?

Possibly Why The Some Recent Drafts Havent Worked As Well As Expected
jesusislord replied to bayone's topic in Colts Football
the picks of collie and garcon even out some of the other horrible picks. polian has a niche of getting late round talent, which has paid off nicely for us in previous seasons. powers and angerer were pretty good value picks as well.
