Irsay doesn't have a job. He is the owner and hires people to do jobs.
His JOB is to hire competent people to coach and run the football side of the team. He has failed to do His JOB.... he has not hired competent people...

The Bears (possibly without Cutler), Texans (definitely without Watt), and Titans? Which one of those teams is really that hard to imagine us beating?
All three are hard to imagine.... after watching the 1st 4 games this season, we are fortunate to be 1 - 3. how can you just mail in a game vs the Jags.... no focus, no discipline, no tackling, absent coaching, how is a trip back from London going to fix that... they have a built in excuse now.. Jet Lag.....

The funny thing is, they can conceivably win their next three games.

The coaching staff doesn't help, but you pay this guy to elevate the staff. 4th and 1 and u throw that ball instead of just running for the 1st. This guy's intellect as far as football is vastly overrated.
Coaching..... need to clean house.. Irsay DO YOUR JOB

Pagano and whole team are embarrassing.. do the right thing this time Irsay..

He was on Local news show last night, said it spooked him a little but he said he was fine and looking forward to next game...

Man Patrick Robinson must have a serious concussion. Most players would be urging to get out there and play through it.
It is not up to the player, or the coaches for that matter. There are independent docs that monitor the protocol that the league now mandates, The team could be heavily penalized if they don't follow it to the letter. I am sure Robinson would love to be out there, but until he is cleared thru the protocol, and then our doctors there is nothing he can do..... he practiced Thursday and likely had headaches and other symptoms that set him back...
On the bright side we will have a few more bodies available this week, although they won't be 100%....

Pagano gave the dreaded "week-to-week" classification to Green, so he's probably gonna be out til December.
What year?

Last time the Colts played Seattle they won.
Colts beat the Super Bowl champs last year too. In fact I believe the Colts are 3-1 against Manning's Denver teams.
They have the ability to compete with the elite at times I think depending on matchups.
There does need to be greater team consistency however as I also know of many games where the Colts where down by 21 points before halftime.
The last Time the Colts played the Jags, the jags put up 51 on the Colts.... this team still lacks toughness, discipline and any sense of urgency. It will be better when the season starts, when the injured players get back, when we chop some wood, opps the seasons over and we miss the playoffs, .... we will be better next year....

Really disappointed in Pagano and the coaches. Team looks soft, undisciplined and no urgency... same issues again.. getting.pushed around, STUPID penalties including the veterans and no fire....ugh..ugly preseason or not.

Guess Ferguson and Turbin aren't impressing our coaches. Would love to see us upgrade our running back situation, but Ridley isn't the answer IMO.
Damn, I wish we had Darren Sproles like five years ago.
I do like the way Turbin has pass blocked and protected Luck on several plays. he could be valuable just for that...maybe Ridley can do the same being a bigger back and handle the short yardage plays. still would be nice to have a player like a Sproles though too....

Per CNN Bleacher report the Colts have running back Steven Ridley in for a workout today... not sure how strong his physical condition is after knee surgery, but he is only 27 years old. IF he can regain his former self, he could be a good addition, assuming the price is right. Both this year and future.
Thoughts........

In Houston the Colts-Ravens games came on the air after the game had started so they could air a replay of the Giants game then cut the game off with the point difference at two to air the KC-STL game. Anyone explain this stupidity?
You can't fix stupid......i.e. ESPN

Turbin is an animal in pass protection. I saw 2 or 3 where Luck could have been killed but Turbin made the right read and picked up the blitzer or lineman coming in free. Others did ok, but all have a ways to go to catch up with Turbin in this area. That being said, it is preseason, so got to start somewhere.

Only thing I see that is a little off is in game 4, against Jacksonville, is in London... don't think their home field will play a role there. they will be a tough out regardless, but if home field was their advantage, it is gone IMO.
Good , well thought out write up though.... GO COLTS

I agree with both Cynjin and JVan. Fans deserve more than just game refunds. I just don't think the NFL will do that. I hope I'm wrong on that one.... but I don't see it happening.
We'll find out soon enough.....
Plus they continued to sell game programs, food, souvenirs right up till game time. The countdown clock showed only minutes to go to kickoff.... shameless hustle by the HOF.

Many of the talking heads have the Colts competing with Tennessee for 3rd place at the best.... and they seem giddy about it!

Yeah Haeg probably belongs but his Post is pretty accurate. I thought we were going to sign Dwight Freeney?? Still could for 1 season at a cheap price.

I literally spit my drink on my desk when I read this article. I'm not discounting Jacksonville, but the author is surely discounting the Colts.
Several of the talking heads have us competing for 3rd in the conference with Tennessee..... Jacksonville and Houston fighting for the top spot...Granted it won't be easy this year, but these are the same ones that had us Winning the Super Bowl last year... Got to fill air time.... let them think what they will, Colts will just have to serve them a healthy portion of crow at year end...
