  1. Did I miss the hires of the Defensive Line Coach, did we not lose some other coaches? Have we replaced them Yet? There were some really good coaches name being mentioned.

If we did hire some coaches what experience do they bring to the Colts?

Yes, if you don't want to change your QB situation. My assumption is that we actually want something better than more of the same. The easiest way to see what Reich's playcalling usually looks like is to see what his teams prior to Jacoby have done with QBs like Rivers, Wentz and Luck and how it's different with a QB like Jacoby. With those earlier QBs his offenses were some of the most pass-happy in the league and with Jacoby it was the second most run heavy in the league.

If I were to guess what type of style offense Reich wants to run, I'd guess something much closer to what he ran last year with Luck than what he ran this year with Jacoby. You don't even have to take my word for it. Go to his introductory press-conference and he tells you right there what his ideal offense looks like(27:00):

-Multiple-attack, uptempo offense, we will be aggressive. Strong element of no-huddle offense

With Luck we were that. With Jacoby we were one of the slowest teams in game-neutral situations in the league and we had very little no-huddle offense.

Now, it's only normal for the coach to tailor his playcalling and schemes to the strengths and weaknesses of his personnel(and especially QB), but IMO if given the chance Frank would choose a much different type of QB than the JBs and Bridgewaters of the world.

OK, when I was not complaining about the lack of benching/retiring AV last year. I consistently complained about the boring, predictable play calling. In retrospect I think the coaching staff felt that they were simplifying the play book to help JB.

The play calling did not help JB, the lack of quick slants, bubble screens and an up-tempo offense   would of helped JB get in a rhythm. My Wife was one of the first to point out the decline in JB"s performance after his injury.

I think there is plenty of room to share the reason for a disappointing season. It is not all JB"s fault

I heard Colin Cowherd say he thinks we are the best fit for him next year if he doesn’t re-sign with NE. Creative coach, great organisation, excellent young O-line.  Personally, I think he’ll re-sign with NE, just putting that out there.

Thinking objectively about this here. Brady is at least top 2 in GOAT status. His football IQ is off the charts and his drive and leadership is close to being unrivalled. Seeing that we have his former understudy and good friend JB in the QB room currently, would he want to sign here?

At #13 I think we miss out on Burrow, Tua & Herbert. If we were to not pickup a QB early, would you support signing Brady to mentor JB for another year and try again next year at a QB of the future?

NO NO NO And HELL NO.   This is never going to happen for an abundance of reasons from starting with money an ending with He is the face of the  Patriots and all that represents. Please stop with these posts

  4. I have lost my patience with Ballard and the coaching staff. Part of the responsibility of upper Management is sometime you have to make difficult decisions.

We do not need 3 QB,s  What we do need to do is make an honest appraisal of our existing talent so we can make intelligent decisions this off season. Promote Kelly to number 2 and bring in some talent to evaluate not necessarily a QB.

Ok the should AV still be our kicker ship has sailed, put him on IR and move on. We can still thank him, honor his accomplishments from IR. I honestly do not understand why he would want to continue embarrass his self. Regardless of what has been said I believe he is killing the Locker room and hurting team. Here is another opportunity for some young talent to be added to our roster.

Add 2 new players to active roster and 2 new players to Practice Squad, and with Ballards record finding talent we may hit a home run.

Bottom line this stop the nonsense and move on

    Lol,

There is no majority vote when the majority says I'm fine with everyone else! Lol.

Going to need some definitives from you people lol

OK here is my definite opinion (definitives)  If it is not broke ,,,,,,, Why are we fixing it????

    Thanks for the votes.

I would hate to see you out of the league.  I feel your pain,  as me and my wife play,  that's double the buy in for me with only half the chance at winning cause she's terrible... don't tell her I said that lol.

I have really enjoyed being part of this league, And thought all the idea's were find except the bidding on waiver wire prospects. I am good with whatever the majority decides. Go Colt's

What the Colts are basically saying here is that Vinateri has so much value to the locker room it offsets the missed kicks enough for us to retain him.  Hard for me to buy, but........

There was not one player come and pat him on the back, offer condolences or encouragements to AV during the game. Riech is losing the locker room for his defense of AV. These players have busted their buts to win and have a glorified kicker past his prime costing them games. This is just wrong!

I don't see how this ends. I'd be shocked if they cut AV, even though he probably shouldn't keep kicking...

If AV had any class, and to take the pressure off Ballard and the coaching staff. he would claim to have a season ending knee injury.

He is hurting the team, he has lost the  locker room he has nothing to prove, so I believe him to be selfish. I know our Coach wants to a players coach ,,,, but sometimes he has to step up and do the right thing.

Who was that kicker That Pittsburg picked up at the end of the year who came in and made 3 Fg and has never missed a PAT

  9. I for one think this is a very good thing for all involved. I was actually worried about Andrew's mental health. This was a very difficult decision to give up on his dream and admit that physically you were not able to continue. Admitting to physical limitations is hard to do for anyone.

He has good friends in that Locker room and comrade's he fought with,  good to see them together again

Last year one of the big reasons for Luck’s stellar final campaign was Reich emphasizing this short/quick passing scheme where the ball came out quick. He also brought in the RPOs which was great.

2 games into the Brissett era and it seems those concepts are virtually gone. It seems like every play Brissett was dropping back deep. You can tell because there was way more pressure this game then any last year which isn’t the OL. It’s how long Jacoby has the ball.

I just can’t understand why they went away from that. Especially with Brissett. He’s probably better suited for that.

You better be careful, I stated this same thing last week. Immediately followed by a bunch of expert posters telling me I did not know what I was talking about.

I think the offense is to conservative, slow as in taking too much time to develop and predictable.   We need to pick up the pace, more short/quick passes I love RPOs. When you see the personnel you know what play we are going to run

How many times did we try to run off tackle to the left  5-6 times Right side once

On a very positive note The shuffle pass to Ebron was totally awesome. And going for it on 4th and inches won the game.

I think there is so much potential in this offense that the play calling is leaving it untapped

  11. I think the defense will continue to get better every game, there are several young talented players that will just figure everything out. The Coaches will coach them up.

Here is where I think the real problem lies. Offense! The play calling is way too conservative, we are too slow, predictable and deliberate. Remember the 2 plays at the end of the first half, 17yds each ball out of Brisset's hand quick. we need more quick slants, screens and pick up the pace and did I mention quick slants WR receiver takes 7 steps and the ball hits him in the chest. Brisset has released ball before he has made his cut. Pull up the film on Peyton and see if this is not true

We have unlimited potential and with a few improvements could be competitive with anyone

    My 2cents

I am still thinking with a soccer stadium having different kinds of site lines and dimensions are different had some effect. Also maybe the sun had something to do with it being a soccer stadium.

He does have a history in that stadium. I think we are seeing a disturbing trend. We already lost one punter who was doing kick-offs to help preserve AV career. I was surprised we signed him for this year... Really hopes he proves me wrong

I think you all forget one of Brissett's  biggest fans is Bill Parcell. He has always seemed to know a little bit about starting QB. here I go again,,,,,, I just don't understand all this negativity from this forum
