  1. I have been a Colts fan since I was 7 years old and that is a long time. I have never seen an organization kiss a players behind like the Colts do with Jacoby Brissett. Brissett was a 3rd round pick of the Patriots who started one game as a rookie. He was then traded to the Colts for their former #1 pick Phillip Dorsett and anointed the starter because of Lucks injury. The Colts had zero offense with him behind the center. Two years later, Luck abruptly retires and Brissett is given a huge two year contract and called the teams new franchise QB. Once again, they had almost no offense wit

  2. He is a leader in the locker room. Also, he is obviously much better than Chad

  3. I don’t that I’ve ever seen a longer and more clueless rant than this. What a load of hot garbage.

  4. I hope Eason produces zero, because he'll likely be the backup. I want our starter to be productive. JB actually was far more productive than just 17 yards in 2020, and you not acknowledging that feels intentionally dishonest. I'm very ready to move on from JB. But dragging him like this is nonsense. This thread is mind blowing in its ugliness and negativity.

  5. Jesus, it is sure going to be a very, very long off season with piles of horse dung threads such as this.

  6. I hope we bring Jacoby back just to make some mad in here

  7. What is sickening is the hate for Brissett. What he do steal your lunch money? He is a great backup and the players love his locker room leadership.

  8. @lennymoore24 do you see what you've done? Not only have you created yet another thread discussing Brissett ad nauseum, but you inadvertently created a thread where we are now discussing Chad Kelly and Curtis Painter... At least it turned into quite the gif-party, though!

  9. I still don't get why the need for such polarisation around everything. Appreciating that JB isn't a bad dude doesn't mean people are blinded to his shortcomings as a QB. People have got too hung up on the salary. They didn't sign him to that deal to be the backup; they gambled on him establishing himself as the starter. A reverse of the Flacco situation a few years back. It didn't work out and he's not going to get that type deal wherever he lands. Similarly, during that season it was a gross misrepresentation by lots of posters on this board that being critical in any way of his

  12. I'm not gonna go high at WR or CB as I feel at WR we're gonna re-sign Hilton or address it in free agency and CB I'm not ready to give up on Rock and also we'll get Marvell Tell back. 1. Carlos Basham DE Wake Forest Basham has the size and quickness to be a every down linemen with his quick hands and ability to pressure and get into the backfield 2. Teven Jenkins OT Oklahoma State Jenkins has been a big part of the cowboys running success with Hubbard along with being a solid pass protector 3. Chuba Hubbard RB Oklahoma State

  14. I’m a Ravens fan and still hate the Patriots. We beat them twice up there in the playoffs , but I will never forget the shenanigans and cheating. They crapped all over the Ravens and Colt organizations when they deflated footballs , to deflect blame from themselves. If some of you Colt fans want to forgive them, god bless you. Not me. They are right there with the Yankees, Red Sox, Steelers , and Duke Basketball !

  15. I'm not even commenting on this meaningless thread.

  16. Not really. It isn't my money. Also, he wasn't the backup when he signed the contract. He also runs the scout team in practice, works with the coaches during the week and stays ready to play. I get you're jealous. You gotta let it go

  20. Trading 21 for Wentz is hardly a highlight, imo. It's a disaster. I'm incredibly unapologetic among my friend group in saying that a move like this would set the Colts back, instead of move us forward. Give me Matt Ryan, or Matt Stafford with a 2nd, and then my interest is peaked. I did like some of the other FA moves for the team, but that first big splash sent chills down my spin.

  25. I can appreciate that. I’m still a partial Colt’s fan for what that’s worth. I do respect the Indy Colts, and am a big fan of Peyton Manning even though he killed me almost every time !

  26. Ridiculous! I would say NOBODY Hates the guy. Most just don't believe he is very good. And probably like me, i hope i never see him in a colts uniform again. I want someone who thinks faster, has better touch, and is more mobile. Go Jacoby! No, i mean Goooo!

  27. That was pretty much me in Baltimore, even though it’s been 37 years. You know, things calm down with the passage of time, and you tend to see all sides of things. I’m glad we have the Ravens, and I’m happy the good fans of Indianapolis have a team. Both are great football towns , great fans, and supported their teams well. To me, Evan though Bob Irsay was a horrible owner , and was shopping the team around, Baltimore is at fault also for not building a stadium , and the ridiculous eminent domain process. There were bad politicians in Baltimore in 1983, and they are no better now. So I g

  28. As a fan who has attended winter games in Indy, Cleveland, Nashville and New Jersey, I'm fine with having reduced odds of winning the Super Bowl, while having a domed stadium with a Skywalk connected to my hotel and a lot of the fine local restaurants and watering holes.

  29. I just hope he’s gone. He is not a good option QBs cause he’s slow. He’s not good enough as a conventional QB. Please move on is my opinion. The team needs to start developing people who might actually help the team win.

  34. Ever heard Sean Payton talk about Taysom Hill?
    3 points
  35. Yes, I don’t get the hate. He is one of best backups in the league, he is well respected amongst players and staff, he is great role model outside the organization. He is not our franchise QB. If, a big if, he is re-signed it will not be for that $$. Plus he took his benching in stride and did everything asked of him. He is one of my favorite players on the team

  36. Yes, because we all know that QB's do nothing more than throw passes on Sundays.

  37. The point is (which you are totally missing) is that 25 million is obscene money for a backup that didn't do anything. Businesses are failing , families can't make ends meet...but a backup hardly used QB makes 25 million. Does that make sense to you?

  38. I would love to do a half dozen QB sneaks and one incompleted pass for 25 million...sign me up !

  39. Its not just jacoby though any leader in the locker room is praised non stop even if they suck . Geathers was terrible and he was praised non stop same with mike mitchell . Look how the colts treat anthony walker and he ranks near the bottom in coverage among starting linebackers , he is so bad yet ballard non stop calls him amazing .

  40. Dude chill. CB never even said he was bringing him back so why the rant?

  41. I would gladly take Brissett back as a backup he's one of the best backups in the NFL plus a very high character guy in the locker room I think he will look elsewhere but ultimately stay in Indianapolis
    3 points
  42. Geathers was a leader in the locker room. So was Vinny and others. Ballard didn't treat them like that. If players were kept around because they were great in locker room, Tim Tebow would be a hall of famer. I have seen nothing from Brissett to show he deserves the praise or money he gets. The two years he started will always be two of the darkest years in Colts history for me. They simply could never score.
