  2. Seems premature and frankly just ridiculous to point the finger for Colts positive tests at OBJ. But it is what I expect from you

  3. Assume the virus is everywhere and make sure you wash your hands. Corona Virus can live on your hands for 9 hours. Imagine all the people out there touching things......and then you touch the same thing. Respect the virus, it is very good at what it does

  4. All players go home to family. Families have kids that go to school. Indiana's positives have been going way up if you haven't noticed. It can happen to any team.

  5. This is ridiculous, the colts arent in a bubble.... at all, just watch like any of Pittman's videos and he meets up with Patmon and others in various social spots a lot. i.e Top Golf or the mattress store..... Also, we dont even know if it is a player that has tested postivie for Covid..... could be a trainer or office worker.... just says someone within the colts organisation. Your theory that it was definitely the browns and specifically obj is unfounded and quite frankly ridiculous. Misinformation like this is half the problem with the spread of the virus these days.

  6. It's bound to happen to every team eventually. But yes, a lot of these players have kids that attend school which bring home the virus from other kids. Nobody can out run this virus, its at your heels everywhere you go.

  7. Colts aren't in a bubble. No team is. OBJ was sent home yesterday. Obviously, someone from the Colts tested positive yesterday. To say it was one team or the other at this point is silly.

  9. Parris Campbell was just like Curtis Samuel, had not run a full route tree since Urban Meyer did not need him to but had all the talent in the world. If anything, I have wondered why they haven't used him in a scheme friendly fashion as he had the talent and the speed to run reverses, to put him in motion more often than TY etc. So, the bigger question is why aren't the offensive coaches using their "talent" to "scheme" them for success? Pittman, it is way too early to say anything about him, I fancied they would use him more on the outside and inside based on down and distance. Hines, his "ta

  15. tonight at 9:00pm eastern. It's a High school game. I know it probably don't belong in Colts football but I know a lot of Forum members adore the Manning's, any Manning. Lol Mods can move it elsewhere but by then more of you can read and tune in if you want.

  16. Regarding this specific topic, not an acedemic/philisophical discussion...common sense understands that a virus floats in the air and there is not much that can be done to contain it. Short of what China did, lock people in their houses. Why did we ever think there was a way to contain it? Who came up with the narrative that it could be? The people who fooled everybody into thinking that containing a virus is a legitimate government function and a possibility did so simply as a way to create a standard that they knew our current President could not meet. Then send the message

  17. This just in: Science doesn't know. Not sure why so much "Faith" is put into it, especially since the fundamental pillar of science is that the conclusions change as you add more information. I don't why anybody would ever quote science as the reason to make any decision pertaining to such a fluid thing as covid. Common sense > science.

  19. I fully expect that these false positives will be identified as being OBJ’s fault. He is a rapscallion of the highest order. Those pesky Browns should be fined heavily for this.

  20. They really need to stop reporting false positives. I know it's headline-catching...but until there are confirmed positives...I wonder why this keeps getting leaked.

  21. The difference is TN broke protocols mandated by the league and approved by the NFLPA. multiple times. Which is why people were calling for those penalties. And it wasn’t just fans calling for it either. A couple of the NFLPA reps were as well. So far, we do not have that problem with the Colts.

  22. That is a uninformed comment. You cant point a finger at anyone because a person can carry the virus and not know they even have it. Who is to say that the Browns didn't get the virus from a Colt player? Please, just stop with the nonsense comments.

  23. Well at least we know 2 who are not positive lol Why. We've seen both CFB and NFL teams test positive, and simply delay their games. There's nothing that prohibits them from adding and extra week or so to the end of the season for make up games, etc.. It's not the end of the world.

  27. I don’t doubt that Reich is a good coach but from what the OP has stated in his post, it has enough validity to ask and address here without being taken as a Reich “hater”. The problem I see in the types of head coaches we’ve hired is the accountability aspect. We don’t get the feeling our HC is holding his coordinators as accountable for doing their jobs as they need to. We had the making of a nasty oline 2 years ago and then fired the line coach, for what? That’s just an example, nobody knows why he got the boot and his players were successful too so... Now we have a defense that c

  28. We could hire a coach like Cowher who spits in every ones face when he yells. He won one SB in 15 years as a head coach and choked more than Dungy but don't let facts get in the way. Some love that approach I guess. . Reich is a good coach, let this play out.

  30. I think the fact that Ballard has loaded up on 2nd round picks speaks to him looking for “talented” players to fit what the team is looking for scheme/character wise versus trying to consistently find diamonds in the mid to late rounds. He’s hit on some and some are still up in the air. Smith is a talented offensive lineman, I don’t think anyone questioned that. Pittman on a normal receiver draft year is a first round talent. Campbell was a 4.4 speed talent that was considered a great pick at the time. He’s had bad luck with injuries. To say Ballard hasn’t worked to bring in talent is interest

  31. You cannot apply the same argument to the offensive side. Defensive side - Polian got guys like Mathis, undersized guys, in later rounds that fit the system. Once coached up, it took them a few years but he made it in a couple of years. Polian overdrafted guys like Kelvin Hayden, Pat Angerer, and so many other guys a few rounds prior based on scheme fit. His argument was "first round, I will get the most talented player and from the second round, I will get the guys that our coaches want". Every GM has to be in tune with his HC, and sometimes it leads to talent being drafted and so

  32. It is reasonable to ask though if the same burden of proof needs to be placed on Covid positives as on Covid negatives. 2 positives in a row before it is considered a positive and any news is released, 2 negatives in a row before it is considered a negative. I know they do the 2 negatives in a row to get a player off a Covid reserve list, I feel they should do the same on the positive side as well.

  33. Its not because they are picking scheme over talent its because of this scheme in general and lack luster play calling or lack of execution. Either way, im not sure how much faith I have in Frank or Nick.

  39. Bengals Offense vs (Colts Defense) YPG: #26 vs (#1) PassYPG: #22 vs (#1) RushYPG: #23 vs (#3) PPG: #29 vs (#2) Comments: 1. Mixon vs the Colts is considered the worst RB vs D matchups (favorable Colts). 2. Bengals OL are #3 in most pressures allowed. 3. Burrow, who looked horrible last week behind arguably the worst OL in the league, played a team (Balt), that blitzes 59% of the time. The Colts blitz only 12.4% of the time. I have a feeling Burrow will look a lot better this week. 4. Colts do not have a DE in the top 10 DE Pass Rush Win Rate stat, nor do they a DT

  40. Anyone who needs a boot up their * to get motivated, assumes that is way for everyone. As soon as I make a mistake at anything, I know immediately, and I am already mentally working to fix my mistake. A coach yelling down my neck about the mistake I am quite aware of, would only kill my drive. Nothing that they can say or do, would ever surpass the criticism I am already laying on myself.

  41. We have a winning record over two teams that are 1-9. We lost to another which also only has that win. It's the weakest winning record in the league. We have two more games over losing teams, then just as a weak Rivers starts to wear out as older QBs usually do, we'll get punched in the face. I am not hearing optimism from anyone outside some message board posters. Rather than complaining that I am too pessimistic, why not offer evidence we're going to have a winning record and make a run in the playoffs?

  42. This isn’t about a loss to me. This is about a offense that looks old and stale. Boring as hell. Anyone watch the chargers last night and see how exciting it is to have a young QB. That was a very exciting game. They have a lot to look forward to in the future despite the record.
