  1. Premature Speculation... They got a pill for that!

  2. I'm saying he is using certain kinds of stats to prove his opinion "right", when those same certain stats are going to prove him "wrong" in other cases. But regardless it still just boils down to being his opinion, which is neither right or wrong, it's just his opinion. Case in point: he says Jerry Rice is the GOAT. If he's going to use stats (facts as he calls them) to support that, then were talking about career records like receptions, yds, TDs, playoff and SB records, etc. IE CAREER records. Those same sort of CAREER records and stats support Vinny as the GOAT, I

  3. Watch the video to see where NFL dot com ranks the RB room heading into camp. https://www.nfl.com/videos/game-theory-ranking-all-32-teams-at-the-rb-position

  4. The Reds lost 13-0 against Cleveland last night. We were getting beat so bad the cardboard cutouts behind home plate were booing...

  5. I think this might be the opposite of a point that @Chucklez made in the QB Room thread. They said the QB Room is only as good as the starter. For the RB Room, it really is about the committee as a unit. So while Henry is one of the best starters in the NFL, the 1-2 combo of Mack and Taylor makes a better overall unit.

  6. Many of you have probably seen this, if you live in Indy: Frank performs marriage ceremony for Caroline Cann and Colts’ Assistant Coach, Parks Frazier. Let the jokes begin! Seriously, I wish them well! https://www.wishtv.com/sports/indianapolis-colts/a-classic-love-story-with-a-colts-connection/

  7. Did anyone catch what they did on the Cubs-Royals telecast? There were times when they had a full crowd in the ballpark super-imposed to make it look like it was full. Usually it was on a shot coming back from a commercial. Of course, they have the cutouts in the seats near home plate and the dugouts...including Mahomes, the mascot and I also saw Steve "Bye-Bye" Balboni sitting behind home plate.

  8. If it was you - very funny! When I was reading that thread it almost made me spit out my coffee. She is a doll and the show is the best sports show on. I think she used to date Danny Amendola, but she may be available now. Good luck!

  9. Yep it was just one of those games. Kimbrel didn’t fair well either once again.....and he needs his beard back, just not the same, lol. There’s days I wish we had held on to Jorge Soler, he is one heck of a hitter.

  12. You'd be correct, I think first Pro game I went to was in 2005 season I believe at like 7 years old. I then moved in 2007 and went to a lot of Peoria Chiefs games who were the Cubs Affiliate with my first MLB game being Cubs/Pirates at Wrigley in 2013 Yep, the first season I started watching MLB was 2007 then more in 2008, and catching games for the next few years until like 2012/13 when I started watching as often as I could. I started posting in the forum probably my Jr. year of HS which is 14/15 then attended CC in 2016/17, then a 4-year from 17-20 in which I got both

  13. To me Mattingly was the type of hitter that anyone would want. Back in the day - he, Boggs, and Gwynn were automatic.

  14. I know we want to see the chemistry of Rivers with Reich/Sirianni but it would also be good to see some highlights of the 2018 season when he lit it up, he read blitzes well, made excellent red zone reads, moved in and around the pocket well, led his pass catchers well etc.. Guys, this is just 1 year removed from last season, I expect him to be good this year.

  15. My all-time rankings since I have been watching: 1. 1998 Yankees = Gold Medal 2. 1986 Mets = Silver Medal 3. 2016 Cubs = Bronze Medal I know the Cards have more Titles than the Cubs but the 2016 Cubs could beat any of the Cards teams that won it all, I would be confident that the 2016 Cubs would smash the 2006 or 2011 Cards.

  25. This was perhaps the hardest part of my acceptance of his retirement. We finally had a good o-line and an improving defense. I still don't think he's ever coming back, but having him behind this o-line would be fantastic, lol.

  26. Only 5 Safety's on the roster, including Blackmon who won't play for a while. Not much competition to make the team there. 7 CBs, not a bad group if 6 make the team. No doubt, Oline depth is the weakest group on the roster.

  28. First, I’m not sure it’s known just how much time you have to be near an infected to actually become infected yourself. Second, think of football this way... every huddle, and there roughly 65-70 of them each side, each game is an opportunity. Each play and tackle is an opportunity. Every time a player goes in the team complex is an opportunity. Every time you’re in the locker room, the weight room, the team meeting room, the positional meeting room, you name it, they are all opportunities. There are so many different opportunities to get infected.

  33. Dont forget the kicking game handicapping us. And Reich was playing the field position-heavy running game oriented, keep it close to the end gameplan. Even with the QBs we had, we were still in so many games. Rivers brings experience, not just in football, but with our head coach AND offensive coordinator. I’m surprised more isnt being made of this. Its gonna bring a class-reuinion/family reunion type vibe that could set a tone thru the locker room.. This is a tight knit team and organization. Its one of the things i’m most impressed about. Rivers is a rare breed. He is on

  34. You can't just hand pick Jackson's and River's stats from last year and expect to be taken serious. The quality of the two teams they played for was night and day.

  35. Some of you guys crack me up. Rivers was not signed to be the future of this team. Hopefully we all understand he is a 1-2 yr stop gap until we find the future franchise QB. To think that because he is 38 that he can't play is silly. Some of you thought we should go after an even older Tom Cheater. Rivers can play, he a smart vet, a good leader and motivator. Guys will rally around him, he knows the system, has excelled in this system and has almost all the pieces to take it to Feb. He doesnt have to win games by himself. The FO knew this team is prim

  36. Besides Jacob deGrom, the 2020 Mets are awful. I do like the new manager. He thinks outside the box and does not kowtow to players like Cespedes. Time to get ready for work. Have a great day, folks. Hope all is going well with the school, @RollerColt. Stay safe.

  37. Besides Gooden, Strawberry, Carter, and Hernandez, the Mets did not have star players. Dykstra, Backman, McReynolds, Sid, Mookie, Knight, etc were all average to above average players. Bobby Ojeda actually won the most games and had the best ERA that year. Loved Bobby O. I recall when he and two Indians teammates went on that boat trip. The two teammates died and he survived. I think one was called Tim Crews. I forgot the other.

  38. You have been a fan since you were a kid? I recall when you were posting here and you said you were in high school. I believe you were going to go to college. Did you finish? Time flies by. Enjoy your youth. I remember you're saying that you were from Indiana but would be moving (or had already moved) to Illinois. Now that you are moving to St. Louis, are you going to continue as a Cubs fan? All the best in your move.

  40. I think if I had stayed in IN when I was beginning to watch baseball it would have been between Reds, Cubs, and Pirates since triple A. But by the time I was 10 I had moved. When I am in STL next year I will probably try to attend as many of the Cubs/Cards series as possible since there are 10 games and I'm 15 minutes from Busch at that point

  41. Why anyone would be frustrated by a player opting out is a mystery to me, and frankly just mind-numbing. They are making a personal decision based on their own health or perhaps their families health. This has nothing to do with his drive to play. That is a comical.
