  1. Can you blame him??!! He was left to rot in the Draft Day green room for a full 22 picks!!..... do you not realize the devastating effect that has??!! (to a full blown narcissist)

  2. It's pretty obvious that the guy has a complex of sorts. If you're on the wrong side of it, you're off the Christmas card list.. Don't really care though.. Just here because I looked at this thread title 3 times before my brain stopped reading "Dan Patrick".. I need more coffee. Jeez

  3. I can think of only a handful of safeties in the history of the league worth that type of trade...and while Adams is a solid player...he ain’t worth all that.

  4. He is such a kind-hearted and generous human being. He is full of class. I would have loved him to play for the Vikings. He is definitely my kind of guy.

  5. I don't know who has got more bashed on this site, Chuck or JB, it is close. I don't count Trent because he actually was bad. Even when we were 5-2, some were saying we were winning despite him. What a pile of Horse dung, he had 2 300 yard games in that stretch and had 14 TD's and only 3 INT's. He helped us win games. He just isn't a franchise QB so let the haters pile on I guess . There is nothing wrong with keeping JB 1 more year as he is the 2nd best QB on the roster and is off the books after this year. I don't get the gripe by some in here??

  6. I don't know much about Joe Douglas, but he just fleeced the Seahawks. Every team in the league knew Adams was going to get moved. To get that much for a "good" safety that didn't want to be on the team was impressive

  7. “Maybe not too much between the ears” I wanted to give you three different emoji’s... Laughing, because you’re wrong. Confused, because you’re wrong... and Sad because you’re wrong. Congrats! It’s the Hat Trick for you!

  8. If you think Danica Patrick is lacking between the ears you are sadly mistaken. She is worth almost as much as Rogers is and didn't get that money by being dumb or stupid. Maybe she left him because he is an *?

  9. Verlander is out for season with Elbow injury. Also for Cubs-Reds this week, it will be interesting to see how many guys the Reds have healthy to play as they have had some Covid related IL.

  10. Lets see if we can find a couple of more reasons to whine about Brissett? Ballard has said Brissett is the back up QB at this time. End of story.

  11. I'm surprised John Schneider gave up that kind of draft capital for anyone.... he's been a very astute GM. I get the whole "win now" mentality... but is any team ever really "a safety away" from a Superbowl? Because that's what this price tag implies.

  12. You also have to take into account that when Ballard made the trade, he knew where in the 1st round that pick would be (13th). The Seahawks have no idea where those two future 1st-round picks will be in the draft. They're just assuming they won't be high picks because they have Russell Wilson. But the next two seasons are going to be VERY unpredictable. If Wilson gets hurt or gets COVID, those seasons could go south and those picks could end up being top-5 for the Jets. Just more evidence of how shrewd and smart Ballard is.

  13. Neither of these women is lacking in the brains department. And it’s not a closely guarded secret. Rodgers dated one for two years and the other for three years. That’s years. Not months, not weeks, not days. Years. He wasn’t looking for a good time with a couple of airheads. Goodness gracious.

  14. I somewhat agree. I think Aaron isa very intelligent guy. I mean his last two women were hotties but maybe not to much between the ears. I think that would eventually bore Aaron and he can always get another hottie.

  15. Seattle waaaaayyyyyy overpaid. Let's see the Jets do something with this haul

  16. My fiancee is an ER RN at a major hospital in Indianapolis. She contracted COVID-19 early in March (from unknowingly caring for infected patients before hospitals had the proper PPE procedures in place). At the time, she couldn't get a test, even as a front-line healthcare worker, because she didn't have a fever. She lost her sense of taste and smell, had an awful cough, and was exhausted for days. I almost certainly contracted it from caring for her (as I didn't think she had it at the time). I was, however, completely asymptomatic. In sum, by this time

  17. As I stated in a post above having partitions in the locker room seems silly to me. They will be in very close proximity with each other before and after changing in the locker room. I am all for taking extra precautions but this one seems like a show for the fans and media

  19. I know I’ll catch heat but imagine if Tom Brady was half as up his own * as Aaron Rodgers. He couldn’t even live on this planet if he walked around like Rodgers did...6 Rds past over...and still manages to love his parents, wife, and teammates. The 22 pick thing is interesting though...maybe why Luck and Manning were such lovable characters...they haven’t been wronged enough lol.

  20. Thanks. So if a team goes to 80 before 7/28 they don’t have to do the split squads, right? This doesn’t make a ton of sense, 10 extra players isn’t going to make a difference if they’re testing every day anyway. Plus, the PS will be 16 so you’d like to see as many players as possible. This is going to be one crazy season.

  22. Seattle is in win now mode. The West is no cakewalk anymore and they are making the most of Wilson’s prime.

  23. This is one case where I think the Jets fleeced the Seahawks.

  24. Joe Douglas is highly respected around the league as the new GM of the Jets and they also took Rex Hogan away from the Colts to be the new assistant GM there. I would say they are on the up and up.

  25. Yep, I agree here. Buckner was a year and a half older than Adams, but we gave up a fraction of the price and he plays a more important position. A 1st round pick for DeForest Buckner, or two 1st round picks, a 3rd round pick, and McDougald for Jamal Adams and a 4th? Pretty simple choice there!

  26. Me too, I just wish his super bowl win came against someone else.

  27. This trade really makes our deal for Buckner seem like a steal. Plus we signed Buckner to an extension, which I don't think Seattle did.

  28. I don’t know for sure but I get the feeling that Aaron isnt the most likable guy.

  35. ^^^ Isn't it amazing what can be achieved when one actually reads another poster's comments? That's not my stance. Earlier in this thread: Another thread: I don't see Rivers as a solution to any of our problems. Another thread: If we sign him, I'm on board. Just skeptical. Another thread: He's a good fit. I can see this working well. But I have some concern about his ability to play at a high level, given his age and recent history. Anyone acting like I've been out here cheerleadi

  36. If he's bad, it's a bad signing, even if he signed for $5m instead of $25m. This team might be just a good QB away from being a real contender, and if we signed the wrong one, we're blowing a shot in a year where the AFC could be wide open. But for a veteran QB with some statistical accomplishments, $25m for one year isn't hard to justify. Prime-age QBs were already coming in at low to mid 30s. Teddy Bridgewater got $21m. Ryan Tannehill got $29.5m/year for handing off to Derrick Henry. Two years ago, Alex Smith got $23.5m/year. Drew Brees and Tom Brady seem like the best comps for

  37. Super Bowl-winning quarterback Nick Foles was traded for a fourth round, three time Pro Bowl quarterback Andy Dalton could not generate a trade and had to be released, three time Pro Bowl quarterback Cam Newton could not generate a trade and had to be released. No one is giving the Colts a 5th round pick for Jacoby Brissett and his contact.

  38. If they wanted to give him a shot or saw enough of him to think he deserved a shot they would have done it last year in the last two games. This is the NFL it’s not fair. Not everyone gets a shot to show what they can do. Teams keep guys around for the most part who they think is better now. The Colts seem to think Jacoby is much better than Kelly. They don’t seem to think it’s close and they think Jacoby adds value to this roster. I do think Jacoby adds a value that another poster brought up in this thread. He knows this offense better than any QB on the roster and with River

  44. LOL Sheeze, Chloe..... picking fights already? I think there are a few possible outcomes..... 1) If they are both equally average. Eason makes the Team, CK does not, JB Stays 2) If Eason is excellent and CK is average or less, CK is gone , JB Stays 3) If CK is excellent and Eason is way below average , Eason is cut , JB Stays 4) If they BOTH are excellent, they both stay, and a conversation of trade or cut goes to JB
