I think he's saying that people who are pessimistic about the team currently aren't being appreciative of the past and it's going to be that good again, because it's happened before (that's the beat). Or something. Luck isn't going to be a Colt again.2 points

Probably an autocorrect from when Luck was on the team. Wouldn’t read into it. Having said that, a Luck return would be so massive for the franchise.2 points

I don’t mind a run first offense if we are truly dominant. Like the Titans we’re doing through the playoffs. But I prefer to use it to open up our passing game and be balanced.2 points

In reality excitement started when Jim Harbaugh started as our QB. We had Marshall Faulk too.2 points

Huh. He improved every game last season. How the heck you say a rookie is garbage.2 points

With the departure of Ebron, TE suddenly becomes a need. OJ Howard is underutilized in Bruce Arians‘ scheme, but I still think he has tremendous potential as a pass catching TE. What would you be willing to give up for him? A 4th? He‘d going into his 4th season, you‘d have him for 2 more years, if the option is picked up. I think its worth a try, if there‘s no TE in the draft Ballard likes.2 points

True. But Reich certainly qualifies as one of his friends with the Colts. A lot can be said or confirmed off the record. I guess we probably shouldn't dismiss his remarks so quickly.1 point

I had to bring up a point that I believe is going unnoticed or at least isn't being discussed enough and that is "Excitement". This past year from a pure fan standpoint, I felt myself checking out on our Colts. Even when we were winning something didn't seem right. As the season went on, I knew what it was. I was bored with this team. Nothing about the 2019 team had me excited as a fan. Looking back on all the years prior, there was an excitement in our games that kept me on edge of my seat at all times. Even when we "sucked for Luck" there was an excitement each week,1 point

I think we will move on from JB, JB doesn't suck but he isn't a franchise QB either.1 point

It's Brissett's 2nd half decline that has everyone in a tizzy. If we went 8-8, and he was consistent all year, there'd be no panic. However, it's obvious he fell off the map and unknown whether he turns it around (if he starts next year), and Ballard has to make a gut decision in FA and the draft whether to replace him, and it will determine if we win or lose next year. As for Luck, I agree. I have no sympathy for him. Ballard built an O-Line for him quickly and he bailed out. I just feel bad for Irsay, Ballard, Reich, Luck's teammates, and every fan that put effort into watching t1 point

If i had his money and owned the team, i’d be “messin” with the fans all the time. Keep’em wondering.1 point

Not what I'd do, but holding to your order, I'd take Gordon over Eason. In general though, I'd take QB and OT earlier, WR later, and only one DT that early. Biggest issue is taking a WR that early given the depth of WR, and the other needs.1 point

My ideal scenario for this poll under the premise of AC re-signing.... 1. Ink Ngakoue in FA and extend Houston and Sheard a year each. 2. Draft Kinlaw at #13 3. Draft Gallimore at #34 4. Draft WR Jalen Reagor at #44 5. Draft QB Jacob Eason at #75 6. Draft Auburn RT Jack Driscoll at #119 This addresses BOTH trenches and Eason / Reagor potentially give us a fresh injection of a downfield passing threat.1 point

Yes..PJ did look good. I am liking the games and there's 2 more tomorrow! Getting used to the new rules and all..did you notice the winning team gets a bonus to share? Pretty good incentive for regular season game! If you didn't read about the salaries: The XFL’s non-negotiable agreement states players will earn $1,040 in base salary every week, which translates into a $27,040 gross payment. The contract outlines that XFL players earn another $1,685 for each game played, plus a $100,000 weekly win bonus is paid to every active roster member on the winning team. XFL players get no roya1 point

I absolutely believe they pinged him, and thought they would since day 1. It's the smart thing to do. That said, highly doubt he comes back, but funnier things have happened. Hoping he is tired of growing his dad bod, and bored of book club. BTW, Sileo is a bit of nut. Google his history and you'll see what I mean. He also reported Miami was going to trade up to #2.1 point

Lol, I tried to edit before anyone caught it to clarify but I was a bit late . It should be more laid out now. Also, agreed on WR. If we go for each of these 3, disregarding need, go DE, OT, then WR. OT and WR are really deep this year, but DE is not deep at all, and a sizeable drop after the first 4 go1 point

Interesting, though I think it’s a bit different regarding this class. I think there is one star DE and 3 other good DE’s in the draft, while I see 4 Stud tackles and 4 or 5 more good OTs in the class. If you go for both this year, go DE early and get OT a bit later. I know it sounds similar to how it’s posted, but I think if you even want a contributor in this class at DE you need one in the first, and if you want an OT you can grab a stud early or wait until the 4th/5th for a development prospect with major upside1 point

I have better. Have ALL the games on DVD. From 1998 to present (all games). Plus 2 - 4 games/ year in prior years, like the playoff run in ‘95.1 point

1987 was awesome to me when we got Eric Dickerson. 84-86 was bad. 1987 was a fun year. Winning the AFC East with Marino in that division + the Pats were good too that year was sweet.1 point

I have been a Colts fan since 1984. So speaking for myself the 1984-1986 seasons were much worse than last season. Watching Mike Pagel QB was BAD! So was 1991 when we went 1-15 with Jeff George. The 2017 season was worse than last season as well not knowing the status of Luck and that team had very little talent. JB stepped into a mess that season. The 2011 season didn't bother me because Peyton was out and I knew Luck was coming. I do not mind the run 1st mentality with a game manager type QB. I love the fact we can beat teams up and wear them down with our O.Line. Tennessee playe1 point

Carr/Gordon here. I do NOT concur that Carr would require a 2nd. He's not one of the "elite" guys, but is still very good. I think a 3rd and maybe a mid-round next year or possibly a 4th or 5th and exchange Brissett. IF the Raiders are truly letting him go then they will already have someone else at the helm so they wouldn't be that worried about it. Brissett could provide them the backup. Reports are Gruden is tired of Carr anyway. Gordon would be a nice upside player that you wouldn't have to spend a high pick on and let him develop behind Carr. If he doesn't pan out, you didn't spen1 point

Sorry to say but Indy and the Chargers still get mentioned in the discussion. I find it impossible for him to play for Indy.1 point

Unless we could get Joe Burrow, I would rather have Carr than any of the QB's coming out in the draft. I believe that if we had Carr we would be a contender in the AFC.1 point

I think Chad Kelly is better than any qb in this draft with the exception of Burrow. So I wouldn't be surprised if we don't draft one. I've been in the Kelly camp since last August, I do hope he gets his shot here.1 point
