  1. I'm tired of the woe is me we are worn out with no days off Cubs excuses. They better get it straightened out because this team is WAY too talented to play a 1 game playoff to make the playoffs. No excuses for this junk they are putting out there. Either play some of the younger guys and leave some vets home for a series to freshen up or they need to toughen up. The Brewers are just a hungry team...and the Cubs are back to looking entitled. Nobody is going to roll over for them down the stretch...even the teams out of the race.

  2. I think that is right. To determine seeding, the team with the better record head to head is awarded the higher seed and therefore the game would be played in the higher seeded team's home ballpark.

  3. Cubs win, Cubs win 4-3. Rizzo brought the war face, MVP had the big hits, El Mago came through. Cubs now lead the Brewers by 1.5. Fly the flag Hozer! Huge win as we were focused tonight baby! Pressure back on the Brewers to win. That's what Champs do baby!

  4. At this point I can't disagree. We look entitled and the Brewers look hungry, sad to say.

  5. Right now the main difference I see with the Cubs and Brewers is, they are more hungry. Talent wise the 2 teams are close but the Cubs have slightly more talent IMO. Their BullPen is better because they have Hader but overall I think we have the better Roster. They are a team that hasn't won anything much like the Cubs were back in 2016, therefore they have something to prove. That is just the way I see it. Cubs better wakeup and get that fire back otherwise they are going to give the Division away.

  6. So I guess winning the season series means nothing . I would at least think if it comes to that, the game would be at Wrigley because we won the season series.

  7. Quote: One-game tiebreakers are played between teams tied for a division championship or a league's second wildcard berth. These games are to be played the day after the season is scheduled to end. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_League_Baseball_tie-breaking_procedures

  8. Brewers won 5-1. Only positive to take from this is, we still have a 1 game lead in the Division and 2 ahead in the loss column. We won the season series 11-7, I am not sure how tiebreakers work in the MLB regarding the Division. If anyone knows please Post. I have tried looking it up and still can't find a clear answer. So not sure what would happen if the Cubs and Brewers end up with the same record? The Cardinals remain 3.5 games back in the NL Central so we have breathing room there anyway.

  11. Cubs are down 2-1 in the Top of the 6th to the Brewers. The Cardinals lost to the Pirates 4-3 so even if the Cubs lose they will remain 3.5 ahead of the Cards in the NL Central. With a win tonight, the Brewers will only be 1 game out in the NL Central. Still 2 back in the loss column. If the Cubs comeback and win, they will be 3 ahead of the Brewers and 4.5 ahead of the Cards. After tonight the Cubs and Brewers have no more games left vs each other.

  12. It was simply time to separate the men from the boys and the Cubs did that tonight. The Brewers and their fans were getting a bit big headed so it was time to the shut them up for a night. Big rubber game tomorrow night.
