  1. A positive thread about Luck working out with receivers instantly turns in to an argument about who's paying for it.

  2. I stopped playing Madden years ago, i think Madden 25 was the last one i played, EA sports continually puts out garbage.

  4. Agreed. EA is the worst triple A developer like ever. Madden games have been trash for the longest time. I literally only play it once in a while when a friend is over. Its essentially a $ 60 party game.

  5. Kevin Pritchard is doing an interview during SL game. Figured I would post some highlights: 1. Evaluated team last year as funnest team hes been around. Had fun, worked hard and made sacrifices and competed. 2. Oladipo - Expectations, didn't expect him to come out like that last year. Expected him to improve and expand his role. Had high expectations for him and Sabonis. 3. Trade options (PG) - wasn't as "thick" as he wanted to be. Not as many options, but loved both players and had them ranked higher than most. 4. Arvydas Sabonis talk. 5. Went into

  8. QB's take care of the tab on this stuff...how did this become the conversation when we finally after a year of speculation Andrew is throwing full go with his wideouts?
    2 points
  9. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the Colts aren't picking up the tabs for a lot of these expenses. I seriously doubt Luck is forcing anybody to do anything. I'm guessing it's more of a teammate willing to help out another teammate. Especially when that teammate decides who he throws the ball to, which ultimately decides what kind of season/(and in the much longer view) career they may end up having. I'm sure none of these guys needed their arms twisted to make the trip to Cali.

  10. The key to everything was the firing of Grigson and the hiring of Ballard. The team was bereft of talent, which was definitely masked by Luck. Yes, Luck being gone likely saved his arm and career and doomed Pagano. But there wasn’t going to be an 11-5 record last year. This team was spiraling downhill and even Luck couldn’t have saved it. Ballard has rebuilt this team on the fly and done a heckuva job. Now, with competent coaching and Luck back, 11-5 is a real possibility. And it all starts with Ballard.

  11. We used to do this every offseason, but it has been at least a couple years since I had the attention span to put a full ranking together. Below are my completely subjective QB rankings, arranged in categories/tiers that make sense to me. These rankings are based on pretty much everything that I think is relevant for NFL QBs -- team accomplishments, coaching staffs, past performance, future projections (somewhat), injury history, etc. I'd love to see anyone else's rankings also, and to compare notes. I'm sure there will be plenty of disagreement on some of these. Elite

  12. 50-32...….It should happen.... ...we get 4 games with the Cavs....should be all wins..unless their roster changes... we were 1-3 against Detroit and that may change.... Unless Im just being negative..I dont see the Knicks or Charlotte getting better. Bulls made some nice choices..but I think we go 3-1 on them.. ….you are right....if Boston brings back Marcus Smart,....we'll be lucky to get a game off them.. Toronto is bringing back the same team...and the 76ers lost some shooters. We played much of last year with 8 guys...now we have a true 'sec

  13. Yeah I see us winning 50 games with relatively Good health and finishing 4th in the East. I think in reality we may be the 2nd best team in the East though. Toronto and Philly will probably have a better record in the Regular Season winning around 55 or so but we are a team built for the Playoffs. What I mean by that is, we have the overall Guard play and the Centers that can play Defense. I just like our Chemistry better than what Toronto and Philly has. Boston is going to be a Bear!

  15. I heard some dirpity derps on ESPN radio playing sports Tinder swipe left or swipe right and they were both complaining about how Luck didn't give him a better gift. I would be ecstatic he acknowledged and thanked me for it with a signed ball and letter. How many athletes wouldn't do a ####2)@#( thing if you gave them their Wallet back? Plenty of them wouldn't.

  16. I didn't get that from the first post, but yeah, without that bad season we don't have Luck. I think Ballard has the patience to build it the right way now, but hopefully he has the eye for talent to match.

  17. A lot of EA's games have been really bad. NHL and Madden are among the worst. They don't have competition, so they don't care to improve their games. You're really just paying for a $60 roster update year after year.

  18. Admittedly....I was really just using it as a passive aggressive opportunity to gripe about a scheme that I don't like much.

  19. Below is probably my favorite...even though its importance pales in comparison to other moments. I was at this game, out of my mind at this point...and they had just gotten the ball back. After a 3rd down completion to Fleener...I was hoping they would eat the clock and keeping moving the ball, but then this happened. You can hear the noise from the original broadcast...but it doesn't do it justice..the place was electric when that happened.

  20. They should be and they are the favorites. But I think they take a significant step back. I don't think the defensive line will be as good, and I think a team with weak QBing is more likely to lose close games than win them, so I see a regression to the mean this season. The latest over/under I saw for them was 9 wins, and I'd take the under.

  23. But if you have a name like mine. "Kirk" you are kinda screwed. Honestly I'd have a hard time parting with something like that. It was a gift directly from Andrew to him and selling a gift like that just feels wrong.

  24. Expectations are set up based on pre-tournament form that they have displayed. But then, one of the pre-tournament favorites Germany crashed and burned in the group stages. The 20 World Cup tournaments have been won by eight national teams. Brazil have won five times, and they are the only team to have played in every tournament. The other World Cup winners are Germany and Italy, with four titles each; Argentina and inaugural winner Uruguay, with two titles each; and England, France, and Spain, with one title each. However, the last 8 World Cups have seen 6 different w

  25. There is also a defender that missed Brazil's game that was a key part of their D doing well so far: https://sports.yahoo.com/world-cups-stupidest-rule-doomed-brazil-belgium-215449020.html Belgium just has more firepower with all their best players being one of the best in the English Premier League. That is why they are called the golden generation. It is now or never for Belgium, and that is how they are playing. Brazil does not have the quality depth that Belgium has, kind of like the Colts under Polian, an injury to a key player and they cannot go far in the playoff

  30. I miss being a kid too bro, good luck to your son. Regarding our Cubs, we got this - only thing that concerns me is the overall Pitching. Brewers keep winning but they aren't better than we are and everyone knows it. The Yankees/Astros/Sox are scary though.

  31. Man I love Baseball! My son started playing in a Pinto All Star tournament on Thursday(I’m Coach), played 5 games so far, 2 double headers, lost twice by only one run in the 6th inning both games(end of game per tournament). These boys are putting it all out there, so proud of them! Makes me wish I was a kid again out there playing some ball!!! We play again tomorrow night, wish us luck!!!!

  45. Earlier in the post, and in other posts, someone compared our WR group and our LB group. as having questions........ There is still much to be done, and still much to prove, but my "gut" tells me we will be ok in the WR group..... not the best.... but able to compete. Hilton is a known, pro bowl level talent. When Rogers has been healthy, he has shown flashes of being a good second option at WR, From highlights, while at Washington, Ryan Grant has shown some flashes of being a good second option at WR. Deon Cain looked like a late first round pick when he ha

  46. The strangest thing to me is why on earth would Irsay need a loan for 30 million. I'm very glad that the Colts didn't listen to Hunter S. Thompson. We dodged a bullet there. I honestly believe that if the Colts had taken Leaf instead of Manning that the team wouldn't even be in Indianapolis now. Thank God Irsay and Polian got that draft right!

  48. Way too premature to try to nail down projected figures, but assuming the Colts don't take on anymore salary this year, they'll have $45m+ to rollover to 2019 (assuming prorations for midseason pickups, IR slots, incentives hit, etc.). OTC projects $63m cap space going into next season (based on today's roster, which will change between now and March when the cap is set). Add this year's rollover to next year's cap space, and the Colts should be around $100m under the 2019 cap by the time the league year starts. Now if you start looking at roster mechanics, and thinking about guys
