  1. Hail fellow, well met. I'm glad we had Rivers in 2020. I'm very glad he had a good season, and so did the team. I'm disappointed we couldn't get him to the SB, and I'm kind of disappointed he's retiring after one year. He's a good dude, evidently a great teammate, and an awesome competitor.

  3. I have been a Colts fan since I was 7 years old and that is a long time. I have never seen an organization kiss a players behind like the Colts do with Jacoby Brissett. Brissett was a 3rd round pick of the Patriots who started one game as a rookie. He was then traded to the Colts for their former #1 pick Phillip Dorsett and anointed the starter because of Lucks injury. The Colts had zero offense with him behind the center. Two years later, Luck abruptly retires and Brissett is given a huge two year contract and called the teams new franchise QB. Once again, they had almost no offense wit

  5. Much respect to Rivers He came and played very well for us last season. Exceeded most expectations. Wish nothing but the best for him and his family. Look forward to the day he gets enshrined into the HoF.

  9. Sarcasm on: Too bad we don't have a young, mobile, dynamic QB like Lamar Jackson. I mean his stats against the Bills were....... 14/24 for 162 yds, 0 TD's and 1 INT Old man Rivers stats against the Bills were........ 27/46 for 309 yds, 2 TD's and 0 INT Sarcasm off:

  11. Philip, if you read this: thank you. Thank you for making football fun in Indiana. Thank you for helping to continue our culture of excellence, leadership, and humility. As Ballard said, it's a shame we didn't get to truly know you this season. You're a standup guy, a great father, and a great man. Many best wishes that you continue to live a fulfilling life. Take this time to enjoy your family. As you know, the kids grow up too fast. Sincerely, Eric

  14. Nothing but respect for these fans. After the game last night they have donated $75,000 to Lamar Jackson charity. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30729869/buffalo-bills-fans-donate-lamar-jackson-backed-charity-victory-baltimore-ravens Not the first time, they donated $1m to Buffalo hospital and got a wing named after Josh Allen's grandma. Also to Andy Daltons charity when he helped clinched them playoffs a couple years back.

  16. Brian Lewerke, QB - Absolutely terrible QB that was really mobile, but was subpar in just about every facet of playing QB. Marcell Ateman, WR - Big, tall WR that would be an ideal RZ or contested catch guy. Hasn't done much yet since being drafted, but he was also with the Raiders so.... Chris Finke, WR - Technically sound slot WR, but is very average athletically, so he could be a consistent safety valve type of guy, but nobody that will be a difference-maker. Kendrick Murphy, WR - Not familiar, but was 5'11" 170lbs at his pro-day in 2019. Ran a 4.52 40 & 7.39 3-cone. Doesn't seem to have

  20. I had always known that Philip Rivers would leave the game sooner than I wanted him to. He's one of the rare players that has his priorities very straight and realizes there is life after the game. BUT I was NOT expecting this. I should have taken a cue from his press conference after the playoff loss, he was really emotional. I think he was pretty sure even then. SHOOT, DANG IT ALL I really thought he would play another season. The fit with the Colts was a good one and his skills were still sharp if not at his peak levels. Now I get to experience the loss all over again

  21. I hated the idea of Rivers coming here when it was first announced (ever since the RCA Dome incident) but over the course of the season, I realized he wasn't so bad. I appreciated he played better than I thought he would. Thanks for what you did for the Colts, Philip Rivers! Can't wait to see who's QB for Colts next season. Anyone but Brissett please!!

  22. It's immaterial, but I agree, the comments about how many kids he has grew old on me pretty quickly. That guy did right by his teams while make the best decisions he could for his family. When the Chargers moved to LA, he kept his family in San Diego, and put together an office on wheels to make his commute and work on film review at the same time. And it worked out, in 2018 he had a great season. Rivers is a standup dude. There's a lot to admire about him, and I'm glad he was a Colt, even if for a short time.

  26. I hope Eason produces zero, because he'll likely be the backup. I want our starter to be productive. JB actually was far more productive than just 17 yards in 2020, and you not acknowledging that feels intentionally dishonest. I'm very ready to move on from JB. But dragging him like this is nonsense. This thread is mind blowing in its ugliness and negativity.

  28. A feel good story. The tweet below is a bit short on accuracy, and the photo is tiny and hard to read, so here's a summary. Leonard was at the BMV in Carmel this morning and on his way out a private security guard in uniform handed Leonard some cash and said "let me buy your lunch." Leonard was masked with a hoodie and a cap, so he's quite sure the guard had no idea who he was. Leonard then found out who the guard is and is giving him and his family dinner and a Colts game. Leonard also then drove to a Cracker Barrel and paid for everyone's meal in the entire restaurant.

  29. Call me crazy, but, added bonus: the guy who started the work with Eason stays with the team. And Eason doesn't need to start over with a new teacher.

  32. Damn, I'm not shocked but also didn't entirely expect it. Either way, congrats to Rivers on a stellar career. I absolutely enjoyed his short stay with the Colts. He wasn't close to his best days physically, but you could absolutely see the talent and smarts that made him one of the better QBs of the generation even at this age. It was a joy to watch masterful execution of an offense for a new team and with very little off-season gelling up with teammates. He was the ultimate pro and I'm glad he was a Colt for his last year. Cheers to him and hopefully he stays in foot

  34. Rivers gets the blame when he doesn’t complete a comeback with zero timeouts, but he never gets credit for keeping the team in the game to begin with. It’s because of him that we even had a chance at a comeback. Yet when it fails he is blamed. Compared to Tua and Lamar, Rivers was dynamite against that Bills defense. Even their safety said he was glad they didn’t have to face Rivers again. I wish fans would say, I give Rivers 90% credit that Colts were even in that game, which btw Ian Rappoport predicted Bills would win “by a million.” But I know it’s wishful thi

  37. It's far fewer than you believe. Most people are live and let live. A vocal minority strive for division. It isnt day to day reality....dont fall for the hype. focus on what you have in common with others in your real life, not what media describes as a battleground. If that is your reality tho, pick better friends.

  40. All I know is, Buffalo is headed to the AFC Championship Game after their dominant victory over Baltimore and we came alot closer to beating them with our "statue" QB Philip Rivers than the Ravens did with their very mobile, MVP caliber QB in Lamar Jackson.
