  1. On January 24, 2017, the Colts Forum lost a treasured member of its family, @Gavin Brandon Lee Marshall, known as Gavin to us, was a long-time member (Senior Member and Hall of Famer). A diehard Colts, Cubs, and Pacers fan, he was active on the forum nearly every day, sharing his thoughts and insights. He had over 25,000 posts and more than 7000 likes. He made us laugh. We learned so much from him; his contributions will be missed. We are not aware of the cause of death, but regardless of the cause, he was taken from us too soon and we'll miss him. So glad

  5. My deepest sympathy to Brandon's family. He was smart, opinionated, passionate, funny, and kind. The forum will miss him terribly. He was an important part of this band of very talkative Colts fans, our Colts family. RIP Gavin, we wish you were still here.

  6. Congratulations and hats off to you guys on your win. This loss stings I have to admit. I admit those holding calls were pretty Bad that pushed you out of FG range. We were up 14 and blew it. We really didn’t deserve to win this game. You guys won the turnover battle including the most crucial one that MVS fumbled away. I think we will lose in the 1st round of the playoffs again if we get there. This game is totally reminiscent to the 2012 game in Indy against you guys. Anyway there was some bad holding calls on you guys but you deserved the win anyway. You never gave up down 14 and I could fe

  11. Are you trying to play victim before the thread even gets started? Baffling thread... What? Did you watch the SB? Besides a few splash plays like that bomb from Mahomes to Hill, that was a RBs game. NFCCG? SF RBs won that game. How did the Titans go into Foxborough and beat NE? RBs. RBs are definitely important in todays' NFL.

  13. It’s always a great game when we play you guys. We usually come out on the losing end though. I hope it’s a great game with no injuries. I believe you guys beat us the last 2 times and the last one I think you beat us in our house. The Colts are a classy team. I hope you guys stay safe and healthy too from Covid.

  14. The grass is always greener on the other side, folks. Philip may not be perfect, he may make a few decisions that may cost a game or two over the season but he is still the best option for the Colts, that will get better with time. His history of picking up steam in November and December will continue and he will have us fighting with TN for the division contender title. Even Brian Hoyer looked good in relief, so folks wanted to anoint Andy Dalton after a brief cameo. Once they made Cam Newton a passer, his inaccuracy loomed large. There is a reason why Peyton, who coul

  15. Before I get into the GB&U.... I'm going to start with "The Silly" The Silly -If you didn't expect an ugly game travelling to Soldier Field, you might be silly. -All the stuff about Rivers from some of you is just silly. Did he look great today? No. But he did however have the highest QBR and Passer Rating than any QB that has faced the Bears so far this year. And Rivers did it on the road in Soldier Field. An 82.5 QBR for comparison sake, would be 5th best vs the league average right now. Calm down, have a chaser of context with your beers lol.

  20. NFLFan reached out to Brandon's mom. We posted this thread with her permission. She and \m/COLTS\m/ became concerned when Gavin wasn't around for several days. All, the Colts are sending flowers to Gavin's Visitation from all of us here on the forums. We wanted his family to know how much he will be missed.

  23. Apologies to everyone..... I've been away all day and night with family. Been loosely monitoring things by phone to see what the new GM has to say. Then, on the long drive home tonight, I took another look and saw the terrible words. "Remembering Gavin" What a punch in the stomach. What a kick to the...... well, you know.... I'd like to share that while Gavin's body ultimately took his life, one part of his body was functioning beautifully until his last breath. Our friend Gavin had a great heart! He was a friend to us al

  27. Not too bad for a team with a GM who doesn’t know what he’s doing, a coach who can’t coach, a QB who had a noodle arm and can’t throw, a Number one WR who can’t play anymore, and an oline that isn’t good...

  34. Sure is a lot of talking down on a guy who is averaging 4.1ypc, against said stacked boxes. While catching 16/17 pass attempts his way. People must forget Mack averaging 3.8ypc his rookie season. Tomlinson averaged 3.6ypc his rookie year, 4.3ypc for career. Emmitt Smith 3.9ypc rookie season, 4.2ypc for his career Walter Payton 3.5ypc rookie season Curtis Martin 4.0ypc rookie year, 4.0ypc for career Jerome Bettis 3.9ypc for his career Marshall Faulk 4.1ypc rookie year, 4.3ypc for career Half of the top 12 rushers of all time ab

  35. OT - Re-signed Anthony Castonzo. QB - Signed Philip Rivers. DT - Traded for DeForest Buckner and signed Sheldon Day. CB - Signed Xavier Rhodes and TJ Carrie. TE - Signed Trey Burton FB - Signed Roosevelt Nix Drafts Michael Pittman at WR and Jonathan Taylor at RB. Ballard has done a good job so far. He found answers for the biggest question marks, addressed the biggest weaknesses on the team, and drafted guys that can contribute right away.

  36. Finally an all pro difference maker at DT and only 25 yrs old. What's not to like? Or take a chance on a rookie with the 13th pick who has yet to play a down in the NFL. I'll take Buckner. Expecting a QB signing now.

  37. Couple thoughts on this: 1. This clearly signals that Colts will sign Phillip Rivers and/or draft a QB at 34. 2. Buckner was named an All-Pro last year at DT. He's a great player and still relatively young at 25.

  38. Wow I am speechless, I really do not know what to say. He was one of the best members here IMO and I always enjoyed his posts for so many years. Colts football was a true passion of his and analyzing the game and the X's and O's part. I know he had some health issues though I believe. He had spoken off and on in OT sections about health things and scares a while back that sounds at times to me pretty scary. But, I never knew the details. Going to miss him terribly. And going to his profile just now was very sad. He was far too young, he was a year younger th

  44. I watched alot of clips on Phillip Rivers over the years, both on the field and off. Personally, I resonate with his leadership style and personality. In my opinion he will represent the "horseshoe" super well. He is REAL, meaning that he shows his emotion and is an expressive, entertaining character. He is honest and no nonsense. Bottomline, he is very comfortable in his skin. He knows his football and will be a fantastic coach when he decides to leave football. I am rooting for him 1000%.

  46. I wanted to first say thank you to everyone that has posted in this thread. I have not been here as much as in the past, but I came on here and "Remembering" Gavin was the first thing I saw. I remember when I first came to the new site, and I really had a difficult time with some of the old timers on here. It did, as others have noted, seem like Gavin was on here all of the time. I guess that means I was too. With us it was me old school and Gavin new school. As we know these two heads tend to 'come together' once in awhile. We went back and forth so much, I thi
