What Are Your Christmas Plans?!

We are going to have it on Christmas Eve. As my brother and brother in law, are both firemen and have to work on Christmas. And have to also in 2013, work on Christmas and Thanksgiving both! That is the lives of a public servant you see! If you work in public service as a fireman, law enforcement, or EMT.

But seriously, what do you all plan on Christmas. We are going to celebrate it at our parents house and have all fourteen of us to just be together. As we all do so. Each and every year. Like I sad on Christmas Eve. Would love to hear of your plans! Thanks!

I'm getting together with my parents and siblings this weekend.

Not sure how we are handling xmas eve and day.  I think my girls are coming to my house

I'll need to think of a menu!

Making homemade raviolis from Grandma's recipe as is tradition for my Italian family. After mass we have a great feast on Christmas Eve (siblings in laws get Christmas day) Open presents and make a big mess. Enjoy some dessert and martinis. Put out presents from Santa for my girls, who are not fooled, but we love the tradition. Christmas morning with my girls, watching movies and make dinner for family to come to my house.. RELAX and ENJOY and watch a Christmas story as many times as possible.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

My daughter is an RN, so we also face the problem of her having to work either on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

This year, she works on Christmas Eve so we will be celebrating on Christmas Day.  Since no one wants to eat my cooking and I don't want to cook, this will mean a trip to a Chinese restuarant for my family.

Shecolt,  I too,  have a two daughters-in-law that are RN's.   One has to work on Christmas this year, so to include her,  we are doing our Big Family Christmas get-together with all the kids, grandkids, and our parents on Sunday, the 23rd.

Interestingly enough, carryout chinese was always a christmas tradition at my house growing up.  after putting on xmas for 8 kids my mom always felt she should not also have to work all day on xmas making a big dinner.

I agree with this!
