Colts defeat college team

Not sure how much can be measured by a victory over a team that would struggle in the NCAA........but it was a division game and the Jags usually give us a good game, despite their record.

It was another complete all around team win:

The offense had a good day, Luck passed for 260 yards, Reggie continues to impress (as always)....5-100-TD....Fleener had a good day (5-77-TD). The running game despite all the hype and hoopla hasn't really been all that good, the numbers are a bit skewed by Luck's scrambling, Bradshaw had a good game last week, hopefully Richardson will get better each week, Brown gained 65 yrds on 3 carries, which makes me wonder why he isn't getting more reps....even moreso with Richardson trying to get up to speed with the playbook (?)

Did someone say defense....granted the Jags offer very little firepower, but MJD always lights up the Colts, was held to 23 on 13 carries and a team total of 205, with a combined 2-12 on 3rd and 4th downs. Mathis had 3 sacks (Redding added 1) and is having his best year to date. The secondary added 3 interceptions ( Davis-Gordy) including Butler's pick six. Davis has been playing at an elite level, that of a shutdown corner, making game changing plays and solid in run support.

Special teams: back to back quality games....say what???

It is very hard to win in the NFL, we always hear that and each week, witness that....next up the Seahawks, who many consider the best team in the NFL, at least in the NFC
