  1. Sounds like a Ballard guy. Sign this man to a one year deal...
  2. This!! You beat me to it. Clearly in the same boat as Ballard has done nothing to IMPROVE this team as of now and that should be the true focal. Bringing back the same mediocre players, almost always guarantees mediocrity once again.
  3. Again, IF TRUE, and if it's a "closer to the draft" type of scenario then this smells like the same old Bargain Ballard hoping to catch a break where nobody is bidding on Ebay as the auction time is running out instead of just clicking the "buy now" button. Problem here is that the seller is content to just keep the item and relist at another point. I'm not good with this approach and it is getting really old. Seems the Colts really don't want the player or like other teams, they would have just snagged him by now and moved on to the part of the off-season.
  4. If you believe that my take on paying the player means we should just give the player a blank check that is not what I'm advocating. I think we all should know based on what we have heard in the past is that Ballard will not give a player normally more than what his view of market value is. With that said, Pittman I feel was given more than his market value and Ballard did that, however I think that was done as I really don't believe that Colts had a choice there as Pittman was the only viable receiver on the market and the Colts have very little behind him. Sneed is different. It's a top tier player of need as if we would have gone after Bryce Huff as an example. If you want the best available to increase your teams outlook, you have to pay them or someone else will. My take is paying players of top talent the premium they have earned if it's going to raise your teams value and chances of winning championships.
  5. If all of the Ballard "won't pay or overpay" depending on how you look at its speculation turns out to be true as to why Sneed will not become a Colt, then Ballard has to go. Not joking or saying something to troll or start an argument here. We as a team cannot continue this cycle of not paying top talent and substitute that for mid to low tier FA talent and money coupled with drafting guys hoping they become top tier talent. < The bolded is his pattern and it has not worked from a progression of this team into a consistent top tier caliber team. That cycle has got us zero divisions and one playoff game in his tenure and the AFC south is only getting stronger. Every time this happens with contractual monetary demands, the fan base on this forum backs Ballard for not overpaying for top talent and every off-season we have the same dilemma and discussion. If all on here are not able to see that the Ballard cycle continues to fail, then this team, aside from getting lucky one year where we might win a division because of other teams' ineptitude, this team will NEVER be consistently vying for an upper tier team position in the league. Facts. If the Sneed trade goes through, I will applaud Ballard as it is what is currently best for this team's interest in becoming substantially better in a position, we absolutely need improvement in. If this player is not secured because of an asking price, then I'm personally done with Ballard. I will never give this guy a break ever again. Granted, my opinion or what I do means nothing, I'm just speaking from a fan and how I would approach his handling of this franchise moving forward. Pay Sneed and let's get offensive playmakers in the top 3 rounds. -Peace
  6. I won't pretend to know what CB and the Colts brass are thinking, in fact I clearly do not as I seem to always criticize it, however, is it just me or does it seem like sometimes Ballard just isn't trying very hard to improve this team. I'm not talking about the massive money haul day one FAs, but using a recent example; Keenan Allen for a 4th? What 4th round pick player could we possibly draft who would be better than Keenan Allen? Could this team really not use a guy like KA? I get he's a little older and maybe he has a good bit of salary with him, but beyond that, all this guy has been is a great person, teammate, player, and massively productive. Oh, and he seems to be always OPEN, so he knows how to create separation consistently. Something most of the current Colts receivers can't seem to do, except Pierce of course because he's always open just no one wants to play with him... This is just one example of course and some will say the Colts are wait see with other players like maybe Sneed, but if you look around most teams also sign or grab other players while they are waiting on players too. Every year over and over. To me, just my view here, none of Ballard's approach ever makes sense when it comes to improving this team's chances of competing with the top tier teams and/or all the others. Time to insert sad emojis because it really is sad...
  7. I'm not sure. Anything is possible I suppose.
  8. I'm sure he does I mean what do I know. Just seems like none of these lately are coming true. Just fuels fan fires...
  9. Sometimes I think this guy just writes stuff so someone clicks his account...Ha!!
  10. Please hear this. All the criticism with the Davis signing is not ALL directly to the player. It is geared towards what the player is known to do. Davis is a space eater. He primarily absorbs blocks to allow the backers to tackle, etc. We already have guys that primarily do that or could find those types of guys later in drafts or udfas. We needed a combo player. the ones who can still do what Davis does but also can pressure the passer/backfield. This player does not have a history of doing that and we really don't have any players that can consistently do that as well from the DT position so to us that have critisism, we should have given that money to a more versatile DT. That's it.
  11. I can't believe we are disagreeing over Flac-Jacket He would have beaten us if we would have played Cleveland in playoff round. Out of all who was left outside of Justin Fields, Flac-Nutz is just fine!!
  12. Bro, your wasting your breath on that guy. For whatever reason, he just doesn't get it. He won't. He hasn't with anyone that actually tries to make reasonable sense of this. You are on point with everything you've been stating.
  13. Stay away. Both are not worth the squeeze
  14. For fun let's throw some stuff out there and see what sticks I'm going to say that it would take either All top end picks or a combo of players and picks I would offer 2024 1st, 2025 1st, 2024 3rd, and Kwitty Paye. I would want back, Justin and a 2024 4th
  15. It's all subjective here. I have really good friends who are Phins fans and they told me Davis was meh. It really comes down to what you expect out of him and Davis is really nothing more than a space eater. To this, it just seemed like you could get this type of guy in the later draft rounds and use the 7 mil elsewhere. That's pretty much the gist of it
