  1. Hi all, my name is Conor!  As you can tell from the name I'm Irish.

  3. I started following the NFL around the 2012 draft. All my friends are Pats fans and at the time the Patriots were dominating the AFC. I didn't want to support the Patriots because I thought it was too easy & boring to pick an already successful team. I wanted to follow a team that was rebuilding and experience the ups and downs along the way. Obviously the Colts stood out having the 1st overall pick in the draft along with a strong history/community!

  5. I just discover the colts football forum and I check it everyday to get insight into the team and its history! Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm currently living in Boston for 6 months doing an internship...the irony:ignore:

Don't hold Boston against the Irish.  It's not our fault.    We love our green, which makes Indiana a tearmann.

I love it that you chose to root for an underdog instead of the Pats.  I don't think it's coincidence that you became a fan around the time Luck got drafted to the Colts.  That's providence.  :D

Horseshoe?  Luck?  Four-leaf clover?  Come on.  Hoosier Hospitality has roots in Irish fun-lovery.  If you're lucky enough to be Irish, you're lucky enough!  May the luck of the Irish be with you!

Sorry to keep harping on the Irish thing, but did you know the horseshoe has seven points on it?  (The Colts horseshoe, anyway.  Actual shoes for horses depend on the farrier).

Seven is considered a lucky number...  Lucky.  Luck.  I'm telling you, you picked the right team to root for.

    •   And, wittness such a weird offseason. Giving up a fortune for Mahomes, letting Poe (+Howard) go then sign Bennie Logan for similar cash? Let Charles, Knile Davis go then sign C.J. Spiller? And finally, let Maclin go and not even try to do something with the WR depth. (There was Decker available for example....)   These remind me a bit of what happened in Philly when Chip Kelly took full control. He let McCoy go then signed Murray and Matthews to huge contracts, etc. Weird moves.   Reid is not Kelly, the old man is proven and good. But still.... something doesn't feel right for me there.
    • Even though this is Camp weight [nothing to get riled over] there are a few players that intrigued me weight wise. Hooker, Woods(23lbs is alot of weight), just to name a few
    •   Yes,   I noticed that too.      And no, he's not.     He even a dmitted as much in a recent interview.   Says he lost 15+ and has gained back 10-12.    Thinks he'll be good to go for the start of the season,   but there are so many questions left unanswered.....
    • Colts will go 16-0.

      New England goes 0-16.

      You heard it here, folks.
    •   I am cautiously optimistic about week 1, cautiously.......mostly based on recent years with slow starts. I don't personally believe it will be an easy go out in L.A. The Rams can put some serious pressure on Luck sadly and yes assuming he plays and is healthy enough etc. etc.   I think we can win but at the same time I will be nervous as heck for the game!!! Whenever we start with "a crappy opponent" it can feel like a trap.   I will probably by the time week 1 rolls around predict a Colts win but cautiously as I already said.  Since I think we may win a lower scoring uglier game if we do win that could flip either way from time to time when it is ongoing.
