The texans scare me.Does anyone else think that they might be a monster in the afc south ,with their signing of wade Phillips,their drafting of defense& their already powerful running & passing game?First game of the season in Houston , colts tough schedule , I hope the colts pound them the first game to gain that edge & don't give texans any dumb ideas of taking the conference.Go Colts!!!!

I think they have talent but the qb they have has not shown that he can win pressure games.I also think kubiak is not a good coach.

they need get used to having a 3-4 defense, but their still better. Their offense is the same as last year, and their defense is better than last years, making them better.

They are certainly better on paper. I'm also not sold on Kubiak as a good head coach yet and it will take time for them to get into the groove of the 3-4 defense. Who knows, maybe they completely dud with the 3-4 because they simply don't have the right personnel.

They have those two new CBs, but that's not enough to stop Wayne, Clark, Collie, Garcon, Gonzo, Tamme, White (if needed), Addai...They lost Bernard Pollard which hurts at safety (he was dirty as heck but a good player and hard hitter). I think they'll be better as the season progresses, but not out of the gate. If the Colts actually show up for the opener unlike last year, they win and get off to a good start. The Texans put way too much into last year's opener (Their "Super Bowl") and I think it cost them in the long run as they collapsed after a 4-2 start (I think it was 4-2)

The Texans ARE going to be good this season, and they ARE going to compete with us hard in future seasons. I don't buy the sentiment a change in defensive scheme is going to de-rail their season.

naw they're not better overall yeah they made some changes on defense but it wont matter because that defense is too messed up to work overnight I would say jags are better than the texans

Is their secondary really much better? (because last year it was horrible) I think we don't know if their secondary can cover (and can they generate pass rush from the 3-4) so no I'm not sold and they don't scare me (yet).

There team isn't mature enough still... as long as we have Manning, Division champs is pretty much a given.

I think their Defense will be better, but it will take time. I think it will take at least half the season for us to see the improvement.

IF we can't stop the run though, we are going to have trouble the first game though.

Better than they were last year, or better than the Colts? No and No. They have to learn a new defense, don't have the talent to consistently stop the Colts offense and it will take more than just Johnson and Foster to outscore the Colts this year. BTW, Foster is starting the season with a hamstring injury. They tend to linger for all you fantasy players planning on him being your guy.

They'll be better than last year and I think they'll compete with us for the division, but fall short.
