It's the off-off-season, so let's do some more rankings!  haha

 

Who are the 10 best players on the 2018 Colts?

 

1.  Andrew Luck

2.  TY Hilton

3.  Adam Vinatieri

4.  Quenton Nelson

5.  Ryan Kelly

6.  Jack Doyle

7.  Malik Hooker

8.  Anthony Castanzo

9.  Eric Ebron

10.  Rigoberto Sanchez

Just missed the cut:  Quincy Wilson

 

QB and WR are #1 and #2, so that's good.  But the rest are three OL, two TEs, the K, the P, and only one defensive player...  :help:

 

Anyway, that's my ranking.  Interested to see how ya'll rank 'em!  :thmup:

I made a list comprised of veterans who have proved themselves as valuable parts of this time.

I could't bring myself to include one year guys like hooker who only played half a season, Ebron who stunk it up in Detroit and could end up being good or bad.  Nelson #4?....he hasnt even played a snap yet...

   I find it difficult to rank players, because so much depends on health and the play of those around them. 

     I’m really interested to see how Geathers plays this year because he could be another (bigger) Bob Sanders. IF he can stay healthy. 

      If we assume these players will stay healthy and play up to their potential:

Luck

Hilton

Nelson

Geathers

Hooker

Kelly

Hines

Sheard

Wilson

Autry

Ebron

 

We may differ in our rankings but when I look at these lists, I’m amazed that people think the Colts are void of talent.

It's a really interesting question and one that would be great to revisit come the end of the season, or even week 8, and see where we stand in terms of opinions at that point.

 

In terms of your list, it's a really solid attempt and I can't find much fault in what is there (although it's obviously all opinions based). I would perhaps take out Sanchez and have Sheard sneak into the top 10 but I think this list could change significantly week to week next year. Would potentially swap Doyle and Kelly too but, aside from that, I like it. :thmup:

No love for Sheard and Simon? How does Nelson make top 10 lol he's played not a NFL snap yet lol

i put luck at #7 because he hasn’t played an nfl snap in almost a year and a half so he’s a bit of a wild card. I’m sure after the season is over he will be #1 again

Again, this will change between now, preseason, and the first 2 games of the regular season.

 

By then, Nelson could easily get to #3 on the list, but for IMO, no rookie should be on the list at this point as they've yet to play a single game.

Come on.  You've seen his film.  You know what he is.  He's a beast, not a bust.

 

Nelson is one of the 10 best players on this team.  He is one of the 5 best players on this team.

 

He's spectacular.  He's tremendous.  He's really something, let me tell you.

I like Castonzo but the guy had so many boooo moments last year but again hopefully with other better cast around him we see him the top 10 kind.

I really wanted Simon over Nelson but with scheme changed not sure how effective would he be? Also Kelly there but injury from last year hopefully is back

as of now, Sheard would have to be above Wilson, Ebron, Hooker and I'd even put him ahead of  Doyle.
