Let's Make Some Predictions!

By 3000 you practically predict that Luck will be hurt again, otherwise no way he'll throw less than 3800-4000 yards. 3000 is a Tyrod Taylor's number nowadays.

I think I skip this prediction just yet, I feel it's too early. I'll save it for the preseason. :)

well in the OP post, he did say Luck WILL NOT be back in week 1 and did not give a prediction on when he thought he would be back.

Hmmmm Luck will be back in week 1 but I still do not believe they can win enough games to make the playoffs.

Wins : Bengals, Texans, Jags, Titans, Giants, Cowboys, Dolphins, Jets, Bills - 9 wins

Losses : Redskins, Eagles, Pats, Jags, Titans, Texans, Raiders - 7 losses

Unfortunately I do not think 9-7 will be good enough to make the playoffs in the AFC in 2018. Teams like Pittsburgh, Houston, Jax, Tennessee, New England, Bills, Denver, KC will be the teams in the playoff race this year. I think both wild card teams also come out of the AFC South.

Div Winners - NE , Pitts, JAX, Den.

Wild Cards - Hou, TN

Luck - 4300+ yards 28 TD's 13 INT's (in running for MVP)

Mack - 750 yards 8 TD's

Hilton - 1200 Yards 9 TD's

Defensively

Leonard - 105 Tackles 4 Sacks 2 INT's 3 FF 1 FR

Sheard - 58 tackles - 9 Sacks - 4 FF 1 FR

Hooker - 53 tackles - 8 INT's 2 TD's 3 FF

I’m nerves about our depth of interior defensive lineman. We mostly have 3-4 guys who don’t fit the 4-3 mold. Ballard has done a great job however getting depth and rotation guys on the offensive line, special teams and DE/LB. I’m making the prediction that Aluck is MVP next season. Ballard fixed on paper the glaring issue with our offense. Interior of the offensive line I’m in the “seeing is believing” boat though.

Since the Draft is over and we pretty much have an idea what our Roster may look like. I will make a few early predictions:

-Luck will get back to being 100% healthy and start in Week 1. Playing the Bengals at home is a gift in the opener because that will even allow him to get some rust off against a bad team.

-Based on Luck playing 16 games which I predict, I think we go 9-7 and make the final WC spot. I think with the new atmosphere our players will play hard for Reich and 9 wins is realistic. Jags will probably win the Division and I see Texans around 9-7 too so that will be a fight until the end to who gets that final WC spot. I see Titans at 8-8.

-Luck will have a little rust but I see him throwing for 3600 Yards which isn't a Great amount but Good/respectable, and 30 TD's. He will have at least 3 TD's running as well = 33 TD's overall.

-Remember these are early predictions so a lot of this is a guess. No teams Roster have been 100% decided, when we get to 53 and the Pre-Season is over I may have different views.

My prediction is luck will return this season but not be nearly as good as we expect him to be. I think it will take him most of this season or even the whole season to blow off all the cobwebs and get back to his original form.

i predict Mack will explode this season with 1200 yards behind this new o-line and Wilkins will be the #2 back

i think Cain will emerge late in this season as a true #2 wr.

In the end I think we will go 7-9, have 1 more strong draft, and take over the AFC in 2019

I predict, barring injury, that all 11 draft picks make the original 53 as well as Skai Moore and Steve Ishmael.

I predict Mewhort will start the season on the PuP.

I predict that Hunt gets released/traded in favor of a younger player.

I predict Morrison gets released/traded in favor of a player who fits the scheme better.

Lastly, I predict Luck returns to form and runs the new offense efficiently enough to get the Colts 10 wins.

I hate to toot my own horn, but, outside of Simon being the lineman traded/released and Mewhort to Retired/Reserve instead of the PUP this is spot on INCLUDING the 10-6 record! :)

    • Any chance we take a OT with the 1st pick?
    • FWIW:   Today I listened to a guy from The Athletic interviewed on ESPN.   (Darren Lee). He said interviewing GMs at the combine, almost all view DeJean as a safety except two teams.  He thinks the Colts and Jags view DeJean as a corner.     I don’t know this reporter, never seen him before, so I can’t speak to his credibility.  But it sounds like he did a lot of homework.     And I appreciate your view on pro day times being reliable or not.   I’m always skeptical on pro days.  But I thought DeJean helped himself on his testing.
    • I could care less what he does. Been too long ago.
    • I’m with ya..     I'm not sure we’re going WR at 15 either.  I think we could go DE, and it’s possible we could go CB as well.   Gosh,  I love Mitchell and really like Arnold as well.  And if we trade back I would be fine with McKinstry or a DE on defense or one of the 2nd tier of WRs that could be there in the 20’s.  So many options.   I keep reminding myself, every pick could produce a surprise, because I think Ballard will have so many options to choose from.      Im also not sure Ballard will use all 7 rounds.   He finished in 5 rounds in his first draft 2017,  and he finished in 6 rounds in 2019.   Maybe he uses all 7 rounds, but I’m not confident we will.     One week from tonight.
    • My Final Mock Draft   15. Brock Bowers, TE,  6’4 245 Lbs, Georgia - Blue Chip Prospect.  Rare combination of acceleration, speed and body control. Hands-catcher operating with good coordination and technique. With Pittman on the outside Bowers will control the middle of the field and seams. AR Will develop much quicker into a top 10 QB with Bowers as his TE.  46. TJ Tampa, CB, 6’1, 190 Lbs, Iowa State - Elite physical traits. Plays with good positioning throughout routes. Very good in press Coverage and Zone. Expect him to compete in training camp and be named a starter.      82. Calen Bullock, S, 6’2 190 lbs, USC - Elite physical traits. He has the range to play single-high safety, the athleticism to line up over the slot and the ball skills to chalk up impressive on-ball production. Expect him to compete in training camp for the starting S position.    117. Tez Walker,  WR,  6’2 195 Lbs, UNC - Elite speed with very good body control. Career average of 30.7 yards on touchdown receptions. Gives us very good depth and competition with Pierce.    151. Grayson Murphy, DE, 6’3 260 Lbs, UCLA - Shows impressive quickness and change of direction to help turn speed to power as a rusher. Good depth.    191.  Keaton Bills, G, 6’5 320 Lbs, Utah - Cerebral player, quick to react to twists and stunts up front. Very good depth.
