3) Colts nabbing the best player in this draft.

Drafting an offensive guard isn't sexy. I don't care. Before this draft, I said the team that plucks Quenton Nelson wins. So, congrats, Indy!

Last month, I asked an NFC general manager, via text, if he believed the hype on the Notre Dame guard. His answer spoke volumes: "HOF." Not a hot take. That's the conventional wisdom with this cat. Nobody will be surprised when Nelson is first-team All-Pro as a rookie.

After former general manager Ryan Grigson neglected the O-line for years, Chris Ballard nailed this pick. And the rest of the draft, too.

I find this part most interesting: "Nobody will be surprised when Nelson is first-team All-Pro as a rookie." If that is foreshadowing of what's to come, I'm thrilled with this pick.

Either way, it's good to see that some people in the NFL community like Indy's picks, seeing as a large chunk of our forum doesn't......:peek:

I was good with Nelson, Chubb or barkley so either way I’m in.

I'm reading similar statements from most draft grades.  More than 1/3 call him the best player in the draft.

So it seems that the Colts filled a top need with the best player available.
