What I think will happen

Recommended Posts

FWIW

IF Chubb or Barkley are there at pick 6, take them. If not I see the Colts trading down with Chicago, or Oakland, or Miami, picking up their pick and a 2nd. I then see the Colts trading two of their 2nd rounders(would have 4 of them) to come back into mid to late 1st round and grab a Wynn, Hernandez, LVE, McGlinchey Williams, or Giuce....You still then have 2 2nd rounders as well to utilize.

IF we stay put, I see #6 as Chubb, Barkley, Smith, or Nelson in that order.

IF Chubb then you go, OL, CB and RB in 2nd.

If its Barkley, you go OL, LB/Edge(maybe a Carter from Georgia, and DB

If Smith, you go OL, CB, and RB

If Nelson, you go, CB, RB , and maybe WR 2nd round.

Thoughts welcomed.

If Smith and Nelson are there at 6 and the others are away, I would rather take Nelson.

I don't claim to have a huge depth of knowledge but Nelson has consistently been listed as one of the top 5 overall players in the draft and Smith seems to be one of those sexy picks that is on an upward trajectory.

What I think will happen...

1 - Cleveland will select either Darnold or Allen at QB

2 - Giants will select RB Saquon Barkley

3 - Jets will select Baker Mayfield

4 - Cleveland will select either Chubb, Ward, or trade down

5 - Denver will select either the best QB available, or Denzel Ward

6 - Indy will select Chubb if available, if not they will select Quenton Nelson if the offers aren't substantial to trade down. And 9 or 10 is probably as low as Ballard wants to trade down, so he can still be in position to get Roquan Smith.

Latest news has:

Browns - QB

Giants - Chubb

Jets - QB

Browns - Barkely (or Chubb if the Giants don't take him)

Broncos - Kind of a wild card.   Maybe QB, but Nelson and Barkely or Chubb could happen.

Colts - Unknown.   May trade back with Miami.
