I think we are back to the assigned times but now you will not go on the clock till that time.

If your pick is ready early we will move along.

Yep, if @crestmount that I PM'ed a couple of hours ago is not available, we have to wait it out till 4 pm, after which consensus can begin.

I will be busy on and off today, so if someone can monitor the picks today, that would be good, at least till 7 pm.

I'm not going to be available to make the pick for the Chiefs at 78, Chiefs take either

BJ Hill or if he's taken by crestmount Chiefs select Tim Settle ;)

Personally, I like Settle better than Hill, but I do like both guys.  If I recall, they are both fits for our defense going forward. Settle is just a handful.  I don't know why the reports are concerned about his weight.  Yeah he carries some bad weight, but I might be missing something about his training/conditioning.  Does he have a weightroom and dieting habit?  Or is it they just say, well, he's a on the fat-chunky side, so he needs to be monitored?

Read that Settle could have problems staying in shape, he really is big enough right now, might have to lose a few pounds... he'd be fine playing nose in a 3-4, I think that's where he'd play in KC, while I don't see him as a perfect fit for our new defensive scheme to be honest... Hill on the other hand is someone I could see Ballard targeting in Round 3 or if he's still there with our 4th rounder...

Settle can do whatever he wants in there.  He's big but he pushes the pocket very well.

He moves well.  He's not a plodder like Hankins.

I agree with Krunk, he's just as much a fit in a 3-4 as he is a 4-3.  For as big as he is, he does move better than you'd expect.  You wish he was a bit more explosive - or utilized his explosiveness more effectively with better technique - but he's on the raw side and with the right coaching can tap into that ability more than he currently does.

A comp I saw them give was Vince Wilfork.  Wilfork could have played in either system. Wasn't limited to just being a nose.

Yep, it's time. Who should crestmount and the Bengals take?

I vote for Quenton Meeks, CB, Stanford, fits the zone that the Bengals run.

Offensive line - interior is a need for the Bengals too. They got Cordy Glenn for tackle but not sure about interior.

Sorry for delaying everything guys.  I'm currently on sick leave following major spinal surgery so I slept in--also discovered that when you spill coffee on your laptop it doesn't work too well for a while.  Meeks was the guy I was going to pick anyway, so that's all good.

Good grief folks. Look I don't want to sound unappreciative or whining but can we please pick what way we're going to handle the time allotment and stick to it already?!?! I asked earlier today and was told you didn't go on the clock until the time posted, which wasn't until 10 pm tonight for me. Now I log in and see not only did we blow right thru my pick but multiple others. Granted I did pm my picks to chad72 in case I wouldn't be here, but come on, quit switching the dang timing on people. It's beyond ridiculous now. Don't tell someone their time starts at 10 pm and then move it up 5 hours without telling them.

It's confusing as hell and zaps literally all fun out of it. If you're gonna assign start times, then assign start times and stick to them, if you're gonna go with a 2 he limit from the time the previous pick was made, then do that. I don't care which but dang pick something and stick to it.

The only reason a pick was made for you was because you PM'ed the pick to us. Crestmount did not, so we let him wait till his allotted time. I am sick and tired of this, to be honest. I did not make a pick you did not want, did I? That was what I did wrong with OffensivelyPC, at least that is what I thought.

When I said we will stick to an allotted time, it was meant only if the GM did not PM the pick ahead of time. Maybe I should clarify it now. Darned if I do, darned if I don't.

Tell me, what is actually wrong with moving with the draft if I have your pick PM'ed to me? Some of you, in the name of being stickler for rules, are creating more issues than necessary.

I am no longer going to be the commish of this draft. You sticklers are the ones zapping the fun out of this draft. This will be the last you will hear from me in this thread.

So it's my fault for being confused since you keep changing the process/rules? I'm simply asking for clarification as to how things were. Because it seems to change multiple times per day. If asking for clarification and to be consistent is too much, go ahead and have someone else take over the Texans and Eagles. I'm done. Too damn confusing when the rules keep changing.

The real draft will be underway before this is over. People are asking for more time when it is already taking forever. It seems like before the draft started every GM was on the forum multiple times a day. Once the draft starts everyone seems to be really busy and has every excuse in the world. The commissioners job is difficult enough already. He shouldn't have to be the GM of your teams as well but when he is forced to do so it's pretty inconsiderate to complain when YOU didn't show up to do your job. Not trying to start a bickering war , im just being honest.

I agree but you should continue to participate.

This was the first post of this thread:

NOTE TO ALL GMs: If the draft moves faster than anticipated, please check the mock draft round threads to see whether your turn is up since timings might change. We will always try our best to PM you if you haven't responded in about an hour. You are always welcome to PM your picks as a backup plan if you do not plan to be there during your time. Thanks for understanding

It keeps changing because GM's keep complaining about things they have control over. It's  easy , check in throughout the day , make your pick , if something comes up PM your pick. If you do none of the above don't complain.

It's keeps changing because GM's keep complaining about things they have control over. It's  easy , check in throughout the day , make your pick , if something comes up PM your pick. If you do none of the above don't complain.

I did check in. I asked specifically and was told we were going to assigned times... but it's whatever, don't want to be the cause of drama so I'm bowing out of this mock. Carry on

I think we are back to the assigned times but now you will not go on the clock till that time.

If your pick is ready early we will move along.

This was explained to you last night. Sorry, you are the one confused.

So what you are saying is none of us can pick earlier than our assigned time?  And when we do you want to whine?
