He may be right about this Patriots team not being good enough to win a Super Bowl, but I think he's stated it for the wrong reasons. Their defense gives up yards but is tough on points, and they had 42 sacks on the season (tied for 7th in the NFL). They have no blue-chip pass rushers really, but they get a lot of pressure via scheme. So "the Patriots have no pass rush" narrative, which was much more accurate for the first four or five weeks of the season, isn't exactly accurate at this point, and it's over-stated as a deficiency. 

 

If they lose I think it will be the offense that comes up short. Pass protection has been poor for a good chunk of the season, and teams like Jacksonville and Pittsburgh could give them trouble, along with Minnesota if they happen to make the Super Bowl.

watch if they lose that whole story earlier about rift between Brady Belicheck and Kraft over the JG trade will blow up and it will be Brady and Kraft against BB and i can imagine BB will come out on the losing end.
