New Colts Draft (2-21-12)

Recommended Posts

In Free Agency I have us signing OG Ben Grubbs and SS Tom Zbikowski.

1st- QB Andrew Luck (Peyton is likely gone and Luck can be a franchise player for us and a great leader.)

2nd- Indy trades down to mid to late 2nd and gets an extra 3rd in return. Indy selects DE/OLB Vinny Curry (Adding Curry with Mathis, Hughes, and Wheeler at OLB gives us a plentiful pass rush and we can afford to trade Freeney.)

-Indy trades Dwight Freeney to Atlanta for 2012/2013 2nd round picks. (Atlanta will probably let John Abraham go and they need a dominant pass rusher to get them to the Superbowl. Plus Freeney is used to playing in domes and he will here as well. His contract does not prohibit a trade.)

2nd(via trade)- NT Alameda Ta'amu (We get our NT of the future with this big Samoan. He just needs to be more consistent and hopefully Pagano can motivate him to be that.)

3rd- TE Coby Fleener (Gives Luck a familiar target and this move gives us a big target ala Gronkowski for the Pats. We can either let Tamme walk in FA or cut Clark to relieve cap.)

-Indy trades 2012 5th and 2013 3rd for Cleveland's 3rd round pick. Indy selects WR/KR Joe Adams (We get our explosive player on offense we have been lacking outside of the occasional Garcon plays.)

4th- CB Jayron Hosley (Pagano can mold this guy into a very good corner for us.)

4th(comp for Session)- CB Brandon Boykin or SS Tavon Wilson

couldnt you also with the two second round picks take fleener and Ta'Amu in the second and Curry in the 3rd? or fleener and curry in the second and Ta'Amu with the 3rd pick? because Fleener isnt going to make it to the 3rd round. I can see him being another gronk or hernandez.
