Did anyone else catch this? Not sure how to describe it other than it seems that Chuck has completely accepted his fate at this point.

Sounded like a guy totally frustrated with the world of NFL football. I'm no fan of Pagano's on field coaching but pretty hard to blame him for the 3-8 record. Young team , terrible O line and Brissett is a hot mess when pressured.

His dumbness is hard to take even if he could regularly field

12 win teams. His lame jokes and excuses aren't funny with only 3

wins in the W column.

I'm so ready to move on from this guy even though injuries and

the roster are part of the problem.

Dumbness? Really ? You may question his coaching but calling him dumb?  Just remember when you point a finger and call someone dumb there is three pointing back.

That is what 90% of this forum said last season too.

I don't know about that 90% figure. Did you actually go back and calculate that ? I'm certain he's going to be replaced and I'll stick by that regardless of what the board thought last year. BTW .. I really didn't have strong feelings on last year . So am I one of the 10% that was right ?

No, you were part of the 10% who didn't have strong feelings on it last year.

No I didn't go back and calculate it. Does it really mean that much to you for me to guess or be exact?

Look, most all thought Grigson and Pagano both were going to be fired. It didn't happen so we can all have an opinion what we think will happen but reality tells us we don't know.

All that Irsay has said is Pagano's record would not be the determining factor in him being fired or retained. There is one thing I do know about Irsay after all these years is he does things his way and what he thinks is best for his team regardless of what the fans think.

I just cant see how you can look past this terrible season Brissett has been fairly good a QB the colts can win football games with and under his direction cant finish games no has to go.

The Colts can't win with any QB who throws pick sixes with adding the turnovers from a couple of key players.

That is something you can't blame Pagano for.

Pagano and the staff do deserve some (and probably most) blame for the Colts failing in 2nd halves. I'm sure Pagano and the staff have tried to figure out ways to fix it, but its clearly not working. The team makes the same mistakes game after game.

Every coach needs the personnel to have any scheme or adjustment to work. When the depth and talent level is so poor no matter what Chuck or any other coach does it's not going to be successful. Going into this season we all knew it was rebuilding year and those who are familiar with the NFL knew it would take time. To expect Pagano or any other coach to make this team a winner was unrealistic from the start.

Above is true and all well and fine. However a person can feel "certain" that something is going to happen or not happen. I'm certain my wife is flying to NIH tonight and not shacking up with a gigolo at the LA airport. Can you be certain and be wrong ?... "certainly." My point was I'm certain Chuck Pagano will not coach Indianapolis for the 2018 season. It means I am confident and without doubt he'll be gone. Does that make it fact ? No.

Its dumb to think a guy who has reached the pinnacle of his profession and makes millions of dollars is dumb.

i gues a walmart greeter might make the mistake, but seriously?  Dumb?  Its more like some of these posts are dumb.

chuck may be several things, but i'm pretty sure DUMB isnt ne of them. And you might not wanna use math problems when explaining things to some people. haha

That is very true of your opinion but there is doubt because Chuck is still here. Maybe Irsay plans on keeping Chuck through his contract? We just don't know.

With that said we all have to wait and see what Irsay and Ballard does. Ballard may see Pagano's hands were tied this season and give him the benefit?  We have all seen stranger things happen.

In an earlier statement I said we all knew this was a rebuilding year so expecting Pagano to make a winner out of this team was pretty much a lost cause from the beginning. The old saying you can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear holds true for Pagano.

I've said in other threads that you can't blame the 3-8 on Pagano. That said , I feel that Irsay would have replaced him last year but didn't like the options he had. I think this year , he gives Ballard a coach of his choice. But yeah... it's just all opinion. Our disagreement is just semantics and I think we understand our points

Exactly. It's good we can not see eye to eye on everything and hold a civil debate. Kind of refreshing after some of the stuff we have all been through in this down year.

I’m 50/50 on whatever decision is made. Pagano staying or leaving I’m fine. The really problem was Grigson. Now that he’s gone the team has played better. We just don’t have Andrew Luck. The team and players are suited for him. I was done on Moncrief, but Luck is key. Donte is a big red zone target. The team is hurt so if Chuck is given a pass I’m fine. Was mad at him yesterday. However I’m not anymore. He has improved a lot in my opinion. The usage of timeouts and challenges are way better than in years past. We all can’t deny that lol

Being 50/50 is a good place to be. We can all have different opinions and or point of views but in the end we have no control.

Why are you even going there? Is that your way of trying to antagonize me?

If you cant see the talent level between the Pats and the Colts then I question your ability to judge any NFL players.

Thank you. In my opinion looking at the team. Our offensive line needs fixed.
