I didn tthink there was a lot of excitement in some of the games today...

3 minutes into the Broncos-Raiders...3 ejections...like the National Hockey League....

Old school...the Raiders of old..

.....2 very frustrated teams..and KC lost again...maybe they should worry about playing and not landing punches?

This week.

I think they will be proven to be all along. They had some tough early season losses but that team is coming together...as opposed to all the others coming apart. There is such a thing as peaking at the right time....and they are doing it. Sure some injuries could derail it but I'm going to go on record now and say they get into the playoffs. Even if they don't win the division they now have tie-braker over the Bills...although they did lose to the Jags so that might come back to bite them if they don't win their division. I think they go 4-1 (should be clear wins over Browns and Jets) and beat the Chiefs down the stretch. Even if they don't beat the Chiefs I could see them as a wild card. Hard to say honestly as things change fast but their defense looks good...and Philip is playing well and Keenan Allen is finally healthy for a whole season.

Broncos are HOT GARBAGE!

After Peyton retired it was coming lmao Denver fan and Peyton hater didn't want to admit it but it was common sense. Fact is fact, since Peyton has retired they are now 12-15. By the way they still had the exact same team in 2016 with Wade Phillips as DC and only went 9-7/missed the Playoffs. Why didn't they go 12-4 in 2016 if Peyton was garbage in 2015? haha

Elway and the teams he has constructed are 25-25 without Peyton Manning:

2011 8-8, 2015 5-2, 2016 9-7, 2017 3-8

You can never be a SB contender without a very good QB in the NFL.

Elway's drafting of offensive players has been offensive.

Our Directv went out over the weekend and we didn't get to see any of the games.  How did the Raider's offense look in this game.  In all honesty, we were hoping for a Denver win so we could be alone in the hunt for the division or the wc spot.  Sure wish we could have seen the KC game!

KC stunk up the place again. Chargers are headed toward the playoffs unless their competition get struck by lightning (bolts!).

P.S. Dontcha hate it when the dish goes out? Why on Sundays ??!!

Yeah, it's our dish that's malfunctioning and will probably need to be replaced.  The soonest they can get here is Friday morning.

Thank GOD our game had already been played on Thanksgiving or sweet, quiet little 'ole me might have been threatening to rip them a new one ;-)

I watched our game with a house full of family and grandkids so I didn't really get to watch it much and we can't even access the tivo part. *deep sigh!*

Sorry to hear about your dish...but glad to see your still around! Haven't heard much from you! Amazing when you guys finally stay somewhat healthy what you can accomplish. Philip is turning it around...and Keenan is a beast if he can just stay on the field. Impressive win Thursday...even without a kicker really. I honestly think you win the division. You've beat Buffalo so you got a real good shot at a wild card regardless. If Jacksonville wins our division that would help you guys since you lost to them this year. I feel like if anyone is going to go into Foxboro and give Tom a run Philip is that guy. Good Luck!!

Thanks dgambill, this has been a very busy year for me as my career is pretty much taking over my life (which I am NOT complaining about!)  However, It has greatly limited my "play time."

AND, well... there is no good way to say it, until recently there wasn't much to rejoice about this season, lol!  Just when I had resigned myself to "next year," we set off on a tear.

I like our chances to take the division outright.  We played our hardest games the first third of the season when we were sputtering.  We have the second easiest schedule remaining.  If we can't do it, it's on us.  We could have beaten New England, but we had no offense yet and it wasn't our D's best game.  I always respect the Patriots, but wouldn't be afraid going into a playoff game against them.

Philip deserves to win a Super Bowl and there are a lot of very young, really good players that are determined to get it for him.

I like our new coach, Anthony Lynn.  You Colt's fans need one like him.  He's not unkind, but he's not worried about being the guys' best friend.  He holds people accountable and isn't afraid to call out a player when needed.  He's working on disciplined thinking, cutting down on stupid penalties (Long time Charger's issue) and playing fast and hitting hard.

Broncos fans claim there should have been a fourth ejection - #72 (LT Donald Penn) clearly punched Denver's #57 in the brawl. I have no idea how the officials did not see it if all of the fans could.

    • I have no idea how it will all shake out, but I have my popcorn ready.
    • There are no owners in the NFL that are perfect people. Some owner's demons are more public, some not so much, but they all have them. There's much more to the free agency issue and the Colts than most are aware of. There are a lot of intangibles most will never consider. That said, there is more to almost every aspect of any organization that most will ever be aware of. Those are often the things that matter most.
    • You can't measure what is "right" in a vacuum, or just by "feel". It takes so much more than that. The Colts front office performance is judged in relationship with all the other teams in the NFL. Just trying to objectively align the different perspectives of the scouting and coaching staff requires more sophisticated evaluation methods than what we saw in the video.   It doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, but I understand this is the way a lot of organizations work.
    • https://www.stampedeblue.com/2024/4/1/24118330/i-pity-the-fool-mock-draft     Trade Colts 2nd round (440)   For   Packers pick 58 and 91 (456)   Packers select Zach Frazier C West Virginia 6'2 314lbs Logic: Packers replace Jon Meyers who gave up 5 sacks and had a pff grade of 55.8   Colts trade pick 58 and Kwity Paye   For   Saints Marshon Lattimore CB 27 years old and a conditional 2025 4th (depending on snaps could be 3rd) From Over the cap The team trading for Lattimore would take on his contract as is. They would have the decision to either pick up the option to defer the cap charges or to simply take all of the hit in 2024. Here is the cost on the cap if the team picks up the option in the contract:   Year Salary Cap Charge Dead Money 2024 $15,000,000 $12,000,000 2025 $18,000,000 $0 2026 $18,500,000 $0 2027 (void) $0 $0 Lattimore has no guaranteed money in his contract after 2024 so there is nothing that would lock a team into him beyond this year. Colts Logic: We wanted some experience in the secondary. We wanted a shutdown corner. So we give the Saints a offer they can not refuse. In the first 2 rounds we address most of our defensive woes. Saints Logic: Saints are switching to a 4-3 defense this year and just let Michael Thomas walk. They have always been cap wizards but this may be the year to start a new with the changes listed above. Lattimore has only played 17 games these past two seasons and even though he's a top 12 CB when healthy he has been dinged up. Kwity Paye can start at DE until Chase Young is healthy.
    • Ballard should have never cut him. I want Ogletree on the team as well considering charges were dropped (I believe), but his whole fiasco with his fiance where battery might have been involved was way more of a sensitive topic and understandable of being cut for than Rodgers friend betting 1k on his account on a Colts run stat over/under. That's the worse thing Rodgers was found guilty of, and now we have Colts fans trying to convince themselves we need a RD1 CB pick after 3 were chosen in last year's draft...    He did a podcast detailing what he bet on with Franklin and Speed in case others haven't seen it. Much ado about nothing imho and it's obvious the locker room still like him/didn't think he was negatively trying to affect the outcome of games, and they would know best on that over anyone.
