I don't see Andrew coming back this year..I think thats' why they went after Brissett...I mean, I have seen people with tripe bypass surgery come back faster then  Andrew.lol  I think the next time we see Andrew will be next season.  I think his injury was a little more then what they are telling us.  And that fine, we would have to deal with what we have to deal with..I think somewhere down the line, Andrew is going to come up with this incredible setback and at that point we will see him next year..

Stephen Holder @HolderStephen

Definitely seeing significantly more aggressive throws from Andrew Luck today. He's not throwing them w velocity, which is intentional.

I feel like this constitutes news: Andrew Luck just threw a football 40 yards. Looking more like himself.

People with triple bypass surgeries don't have to get ready to play NFL football.

Look, I have been with the Colts since they Landed, I took the bad, the ugly and the not so good, too them being great .. but this is a PR stunt..that's all it is..Think about it, Tolzien can thrown just as many interceptions as Brissett..They wanted a new face at quarter back and have Tolzien back him up...For real, if you look at the number of interceptions that Brissett has vs Tolzien, Brissett got him beat...

Tolzien is that you? Anyway look at Tolzien games against the Steelers and against the Rams. Then look at Brissett games.

I think we're not going to see Luck until the bye week which is not until early November.

By then we will have played 10 games.    But I think the bye week will be the point where the coaches can get Luck fully up to speed.

Luck plays the last 6 games of the season and then we enter a fascinating off-season for coaches and players alike.

Brissett, has thrown a pick 6 in every game he has played in...not to mention the fumbles for 6 points…I was sitting in the sport bar when the game went into overtime, I was sitting with 6 49er’s fans..and first thing I said was Brissett, has not  thrown his pick 6 or a fumble for 6 point yet,  and as soon as I said that, he throws and interception in the enzone… Brissett is here because Andrew is not coming back this season..

OK, I can by the Byweek, but at that point you only have 6 games left in the season, and if by chance we have(I hope we do not)  no chance to get into the playoffs, why bring him back, So he can get hurt again...

Just let him be. We all believe what we believe...it won't hurt you in the least he believes this. I think its clear he is on his way back to playing this year in a few weeks but maybe he does have a set back..who knows. We all thought Peyton was going to be back almost all the way up to Christmas that year he was off from what the front office led us to believe....so I could see someone being negative. Sometimes people think the worst so they can be pleasantly surprised...they don't like to be let down. I agree he is probably being overly negative but I doubt we are going to change him.

Where are you getting he's thrown a pick 6 in every game he's played in ? That's just not true

He's throwing the ball 40 yards in practice right now. Back to back.

because he's a football player getting paid to be a football player.  when he's healthy, he will play.  do you see other teams around the league benching their QB when their offensive line isn't playing well?  NO, because that would be a ridiculously stupid thing to do

You do think those two are regulars here? I never seen them. Anyways the people who are here on the “reg” know what’s up with Luck. He himself said he’d be playing this season.

How has this vid of Luck casually throwing the ball 30+ yards not been posted yet?

I think that is what a lot of people want to see....progress. It makes them feel a lot better about getting hopeful for the season to see this....the more this thing got handled like the Peyton Manning injury the more people became skeptical he was going to miss the whole year and it was just PR talk to sell tickets he might come back. Good news!!

1) Not on IR

2) Ballard said he will play this year

3) Pagano has said he will play this year

4) Luck has said he will play this year

5) Awesome joke about the triple bypass - that aside, he is well within the window for when a NFL QB who had labrum surgery returns.

That's the Houston game IN Texas?    First week of November?     I think it's possible.

Pittsburgh at home is the following week.  That's possible too.    Then comes the bye week.

But in all of these scenarios, we're talking about November.

No, I don't put any stock in what these posters are saying. They're both trollish, IMO.

    • Rick Venturi today on the radio said he is more of a fan of speed with corners then what Ballard has done. He said young corners have to be able to recover from mistakes. I would almost like rodgers instead of Brent’s.
    • BBZ, what do you mean when you say Brents will be successfully targeted because of his size and speed? Aren't those his good traits?
    • Right. But we also are expected to draft a corner, So the fact that DeJean can play either position, makes me think Ballard could have his eye on him.
    • As a Ballard type player, he seems to fit the bill.  Big 10. Excels at zone coverage. Elite athlete. Special Teams standout, Good tackler. etc. Colts may be able to trade back, and still land DeJean   Considered one of the Safest picks. Seven 2024 NFL Draft Prospects Who Are Safest Bets to Succeed at Next Level https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10113875-7-2024-nfl-draft-prospects-who-are-safest-bets-to-succeed-at-next-level   DB Cooper DeJean, Iowa   A fractured fibula during a November practice tempered any excitement regarding Cooper DeJean's draft status. So he's not been in the same conversations as the class' top defensive backs, specifically Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell and Alabama's Terrion Arnold. DeJean's profile projects just as well or better than the aforementioned cornerbacks.   Three specific attributes set DeJean's floor higher than anyone else among the back end.   First, the reigning Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year presents the positional flexibility and traits to start at cornerback or safety at the professional level, with B/R's Cory Giddings highlighting his coverage skills:   "DeJean excels in zone coverage, but he's versatile enough to play man as well. He shows a smooth backpedal and the ability to keep his leverage and quick footwork with few wasted steps. Although he transitions well, there are times where DeJean hops into his breaks; allowing a step of separation.   "When in zone, DeJean does a great job of reading and reacting to the quarterback's eyes. Pairing that skill set with his route recognition, he often puts himself in good position with leverage and positioning.   "While working downfield, DeJean has the strength necessary to hand-fight with tight ends and bigger receivers, as well as the speed necessary to carry twitchier receivers downfield. He also does a very good job of locating the ball and playing through the catch point."   Second, the high school track standout is an elite athlete who captured Iowa state titles in the long jump and 100-meter dash. Many expected him to blow the doors off Lucas Oil Stadium. Unfortunately, he wasn't ready to test in Indianapolis after being cleared a few weeks earlier.   "His acceleration is incredibly fluid and super powerful," NFL combine trainer Jordan Luallen told The Athletic's Bruce Feldman last summer. "He's the best athlete I've seen in person, pound for pound."   Finally, DeJean adds significant value as an elite collegiate returner. Big Ten coaches also awarded him Return Specialist of the Year this past season. DeJean averaged 13.1 yards per punt return over the last two seasons. A top-notch contributor anywhere along the defensive backfield and on special teams will provide excellent value in the NFL.   Potential Landing Spots: Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles
    • He could, but I think he's way more athletic than people give him credit for and projects way better as CB. Definitely could be a good safety, but I think if we drafted him, he fits well as a boundary corner for us.
