He's probably cut. I don't see us keeping 4 QBs and he's clearly not as good as Tolzien or Morris.

You're probably correct. They will probably cut players based on who becomes available if there are a bunch of players on our roster the Colts feel are on the border.

I would think they'd sign/agree to terms with a FA before we cut someone they're going to replace?  I don't know, just figuring we don't want to cut a guy then not be able to sign the FA they're supposed to be replaced by.

Problem with that theory though is everyone is gonna wait till 4 to cut players.

I think most will, but I've checked some other forums and they're hacking away - probably the obvious ones.  it will be a mix probably.

Not too shocked either by cutting Spence, he is not a Pagano type of ILB anyway. George probably makes the 53.

 

Would really like a high draft pick next year at ILB, not a 1st but more like a 2nd or 3rd, we just dont have any playmaking quality in that position group imo.

A lot of us were high on Spence, don't think anyone including Ballard thought he'd be the odd man out, but it speaks volumes to guys like Morrison & Edwin Jackson stepping up after a year under their belts.

I'd say most cuts are probably known by now, its just the Colts won't announce most of them until 3 or 3:30. That's what they usually do.

Back in April I thought Spence was gonna be one of the starting Linebackers. Here he is being one of the first cuts announced. Funny how the NFL works.
