The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent wide receiver Marvin Bracy and waived-injured wide receiver Harvey Binford. If Binford clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve List.

Bracy, 5-9, 172 pounds, participated in the Carolina Panthers’ 2017 rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis. He is an Olympic sprinter who has participated with USA Track & Field for the last five years (2013-17). Bracy qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 100-meter dash. From 2014-16, he won three consecutive U.S. National Championships in the 60-meter dash.

Collegiately, Bracy redshirted as a true freshman on the Florida State football team in 2012 while also running track for the Seminoles. He ranked No. 1 in the nation in the 60-meter dash most of the season after registering the fastest time in the NCAA. Bracy earned the No. 1 seed at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. He left Florida State in 2013 to pursue a professional track career.

In high school, Bracy earned All-America recognition in football and track. He registered almost 1,500 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns as a junior. Bracy ran the fastest indoor 55-meter dash in the world in January of 2012, clocking in at 6.08 seconds. His time was a national record for the 19-and-under division and the fastest ever by a high school student. Bracy also ran the second-fastest 100-meters in Florida High School history at 10.05 seconds. He ran for the USA in the 4×100 relay in July of 2010 at the World Junior Championships. Bracy was a three-time Class 4A 100-meter champion and won two 200-meter state titles.

Binford, 6-0, 185 pounds, signed with the Colts as a free agent on June 15, 2017. He previously spent time with the Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Soul (Arena League). Binford attended Lindenwood University-Belleville for two seasons (2012-13) where he caught 43 passes for 978 yards and nine touchdowns.
