I think this is actually a pretty good FA group for making a shift to a 4-3 defense and I fully expect Ballard to get involved.
A few more names to keep an eye on that haven't been mentioned:
DL - Kony Ealy, Alex Okafor
CB - Kyle Fuller
ILB - Christian Jones
OLB - Nigel Bradham, Mychal Kendricks (if cut)
Even though we see a considerable amount of investment in the front 7 last offseason, I think we are about see even more. ILB, OLB and DT could all be addressed. Maybe it could look something like this after FA:
RDE - Ealy
RDT - Hankins
LDT - ?
LDE - Sheard
Will - Kendricks
Mike - Hitchens
Sam - Simon
Furthermore, if you need regurgitation by Holder or Keefer or that which can commonly be observed by any untrained eye to be informed....then you aren't really all that interested in the Colts.
Does my disdain for the Star show too much? I may need to work on that.
Probably one of the dumbest statements ever. Do you want your coach to have control or get results? You don't need to "control" players to have a successful team. Does Pete Carroll have "control" of his team? Pagano has total "control" of his team. It makes zero difference. Tomlin wins. If they were to fire him over the perception of "control" it would show a weakness in management.
If the Steelers were out there leading the league in penalties and fines and ejections then I would say that is a loss of control. Guys making Facebook videos in the locker room and complaining about contracts but performing MVP caliber on Sunday is an *bleeping* joke if that is lack of control. Tell me 1. who's going to "control" Antonio Brown and 2. who wouldn't take Antonio Brown on their team right now?
