What a pile of bull, Ohio leads because the REFS gave them the last drive. 39-38 Ohio. A FG will win it for Penn, they still have 2 minutes. I swear Ohio is the luckiest team I have ever seen, they do this all the time.

PSUs play calling was terrible towards the end of the game too. That drive where they ran Barkley 3 straight times was terrible. Way too conservative

I agree. You let Ohio hang around at home, Meyer always seems to pull crap out. I just talk to my friend and he said where's my steak haha

Barrett has put his name in the Heisman conversation

What a great game.... I felt Ohio State was the better team if you disregard mental errors.  I am so happy they won.  Now come on Purdue!!!!!

Why the hell they kept calling  the East - West plays for so long is a mystery to me.  As Jared says, even a "casual fan" could see that wasn't working, lol.  North and South was the key.

AND,,,,,,, who is it soooooo hard to kick the ball away from one of the best return specialist in NCAA? Or for that matter, just kick it somewhere other than 20 yards down field,  wow ....  defensive special teams were horrible today.

I disagree about Barrett.  Had he played well enough to win against OU then I would say yeah he is.  He definitely played very well tonight, but he doesn't deserve HT honors.   I  love the kid, but I don't think he is deserving.  I am okay with him being in the top five though.  Not all his fault, I just don't think he is Heisman material.

Never said he would win it just that his play and comeback put in the mix

Unbelievable. Purdue thought they had it in the bag and went conservative way too early, cost them the game. Nebraska comes back and scores in less then a minute....some very suspect playcalling there, and can't believe coach still has the QB carousel thing going......just have to keep reminding myself it's a new coach and will take a season or two to get the right pieces in play.

How about my Cornhuskers, in all honesty I like Purdue and Nebraska isn't what they once were but man I couldn't believe that comeback. I have been a Huskers fan since the 80's but they aren't any good now days lmao

Brohm seems preoccupied with playing both QBs

Yeah, probably safe to be patient with them. I think Purdue is in good hands

HAHAH!?! What?!? Ohio State did everything they could to give Penn State that game.

Yes, they did but Penn State's D eventually wore down. I did not see that coming out of J.T.Barrett at all as a passer. Maybe they needed that jolt from the Oklahoma loss for him to wake up and stop just relying on his legs to play winning QB at Ohio State.

What I do not understand is how they dropped Penn State to No.7 after a very close contested loss on the road to a top 6 FBS team at that point? The least I would have thought was Penn State would have been No.5; not No.7, especially if Ohio State is No.3 at this point.

It seems like the committee was looking for an excuse to put Penn State out of the playoff race, that is the feeling I got, after the new rankings came out.

The D wore down? OR they just weren't as good as people believed. Penn State actually won TOP, and if anyone was wore down it should have been Ohio States defense. I didn't think JT was going to do that either, but having a game like that is what the kid needed confidence-wise. I put some of the blame on Wilson as his play calling hasn't helped JT or the offense at times, especially the Oklahoma game. Hopefully with a much needed downfield passing game, Weber and Dobbins can start getting exploiting defenses even more on the ground. Ohio State has the front 7 to match up with ANYBODY, but if they run into an above average passing team they will struggle. The offense, minus the nonsense turnovers, hopefully has turned the corner - especially the pass protection - and can continue on with how they played Saturday. The momentum is heavily in Ohio States corner, they just can't take an egg to the face on the road at Iowa or MSU.

As far as the rankings, Wisconsin is undefeated, but I don't think they belong in the top-7 with their schedule. They should be sitting right with Miami right now. ND should be 4, as much as it pains me to say that. Penn State should be #5 as you said losing to the #6 team on the road ahead of Clemson. Clemson's loss to Syracuse should have knocked them back quite a ways. Ohio State dropped out of the top-10 after the Oklahoma loss.

Penn State is going to have to hope Ohio State loses in the next 4 games. Ohio State drops 1 and Penn State is in the BIG10 title game ( no reason they couldn't beat Wisconsin) and more than likely in the playoff. I like them better than Clemson. And please for the love of god, I hope Georgia continues it's dominance and knocks Bama out in the SEC title game. If you want to see the committee do some shenanigans, watch them keep both Bama (who hasn't played ANYONE) and Georgia in the playoff if Georgia beats them in the title game.

The Penn State D-line did not have enough depth and had undersized players that had to fill in for injury, IMO, and that wore them down as time went on. OSU's DL is good again, but if this game were played in Penn State, it might have been different, IMO.

Yes, I do not understand that with Wisconsin. And yes, having Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State in one Big Ten division is a travesty since the best 2 Big Ten teams will not play in the Big Ten title game, IMO. I'd say do a playoff system for the Top 2 in each division so that the best Big Ten team moves on. Yes, the committee will keep Bama and Georgia in the top 4, it is a safe bet at this point given their dominance.

Yeah but Penn State is the one who blew a big lead. If they kept their foot on the pedal they probably would've won

PSU only had 283 yards of total offense, they barely had any pedal to begin with. A KR and two terrible PI calls that lead to scores kept Penn State in the game all with Ohio State playing as badly as they could for 3 quarters.
