colts vs packers 2012

Reggie Wayne put us on his back. Monster game from Reggie. He was around for 2012 - 2014, knew how to win, how to get open despite lack of top end speed, tutor the young wide outs, and it is not a co-incidence we missed the playoffs in 2015 and 2016.

IMO the best game Reggie ever played.

And yes, once Luck lost his 3rd down go to possession guy, the comebacks and magic seemed to run out.  Hopefully someone else will eventually fill that role.

Better yet, we build a real defense and running game so we're not coming from behind every week.

Great stuff! This game, the Chiefs comeback in the Playoffs in 2013, and winning at Denver in the Playoffs in 2014 are Luck's 3 defining games so far in his career.

I think beating Peyton in his homecoming as well as Seattle can round out the top 5.

I agree.

He had that Wild-Card game against Denver in 2005: 10 rec. 221 yds. 2 TDs.  That was the playoffs, so you could argue it was a more important game, but that game was over by halftime.  Reggie was also in his prime.

I would bet that the game against the Packers probably meant more to Reggie.  13 rec. 212 yds. and the game-winning TD, in the twilight of his career, in a comeback win, to honor his sick coach, who he has known pretty much his entire adult life, then to give him the game ball in the hospital...  That was special.

I agree 100%, I would put the at Denver Playoff game at #1 because that got us to the Title Game and Andrew played really well vs Von Miller's healthy Defense. Peyton wasn't 100% but he still even put Denver up early 7-0 with a TD pass. That win shocked me, I thought Denver would win that one.

1. At Denver 2014 Divisional Round

2. Chiefs 2013 WildCard game - came back from 28 points down

3. Packers game in 2012

4. Denver - Peyton's homecoming game in 2013, that was a great game

5. Seahawks - beating Wilson in a shootout, the season Seattle won the SB

-That is my Top 5. All signature wins and what is funny is many people have said we couldn't win outside of our Division in those 3 seasons 2012-2014. Those are 5 great wins

Nice top 5 but for me I would change out the seattle game for that detroit game in 2012 now that was a thriller

You must have forgotten how awful Denver looked during the end of the regular season that year. Broncos just didn't have that same chemistry and flow that took them to the previous Super Bowl. That, and Peyton was bordering on becoming the flabby QB we all saw in 2015. Our win didn't surprise me at all, it actually would have been a disappointment had we lost that one.

Yeah that Detroit win is another great game. That ending was awesome!

UghNGH... (I hope you successfully make that noise, it took me a minute to type it properly)  I HATE that game... but for all the wrong reasons.  It's my own fault.  I was the fool that got mad, and thought the game was over and decided to turn off the TV and go do other stuff...  :grumpy2:

I made the most of my free time.  I don't regret my alternative plans.  But when I saw that the Colts came back in epic fashion, and I willingly missed it...  All I had to do was leave the TV on in the background... But then I had to watch the replays on the internet to try to piece together what the heck happened...  Ugh.

OMG, never again.  I will never, ever, NEVER AGAIN turn off a Colts game before that clock hits 00:00.  Even if it's 49-0 in the 4th quarter, Luck can win.  And I will NOT miss the game where Luck comes back from 49-0 in the 4th quarter.  Not me.  No sir.  Uh-uh.  I will suffer through every agonizing loss from here on out, just in case...

    • I think if the Colts get a WR in the top-50?picks, or so,  I think the Colts would agree with you.
    • welp, after another week of developments, rumors, and predictions…here is where I stand:   1.  My personal top 5 for our first has not changed.  Mitchell, Arnold, Turner, BTJ, Bowers are still who id be ok with picking at 15.  I’ve said it before, but this is one of the most “it can go any way for us” drafts I’ve witnessed for us in a long time, if not ever.     2.  With the rumors of us looking to trade up, I AM ALL FOR IT.  It’s ok to play it safe and build your team, but that gets mediocrity.  We need to go out and get a guy.  A player we KNOW that will be elite or very good.  Not one that we hope can do that.  I think MHJ is definitely going to the Cards (if they don’t trade out) so that means either Nabers or Odunze who we’re probably trading for if they fall to 8 or 9.  Id prefer Nabers over Odunze.  Nabers is that blazing separator we desperately need, Odunze is possessive beast, but I feel we already have that with MPJ.  I don’t think trading up for bowers would be worth it.     3.  Trading back is an absolute no for me.  As said above, we have to start getting bonafide players and studs.  If we have a chance to get a bonafide stud, then we shouldn’t give it up.  Trading back and giving up the chance to get someone is lowering the talent level of our first pick.  Let’s get aggressive for once and get OUR guy.  If we can’t, let’s stay put and draft a player who will be VERY good.
    • FYI Castro went back to college at Iowa this upcoming season.  Look for Sebastian in the 2025 NFL Draft.
    • Like most QBs they need a safety blanket to throw to and that can be a TE.  Draft rumor-mill already in full circulation with news that the Colts want to trade up on Day 1.  Still think it's a long shot to draft a legacy in MHJ reaching P4 with the Cardinals.  A trade up to P8 with Atlanta is probably the most realistic scenario and TE Bowers would be the call-in.  Not sold on most of this year's draftable QBs and doubt 4 or more will be drafted within the top-8 picks.  See the draft play out like every other year where teams can stay and get a serviceable QB.
    • This could very well be the rare year we do trade up on Day 1.  Really shocked if we go after a legacy and the cost might be too rich for the short-term versus draft immediate draft needs.  Now a trade up to say P8 swap with Atlanta has a higher percentage of happening I do feel.  No way going to trade within our division with the Titans at P7.  At P8 should still have one of the top-3 WRs or even better option of drafting a generational TE in Bowers.
