Underwood Resigned

Dollar to a donut he gets cut again once Belichick deems him expendable... Then possibly brought back on again.

No team claimed Underwood off the waiver wires, so Underwood probably felt he didn't have any other choice but with the Patriots.

I heard on Felger and Mazz yesterday:

That Underwood KNEW he was going be cut way earlier in the week and he wanted come back, supposedly BB did it because he thought he might need the bigger body late in the game because of the heat in the dome. That said he had a hole 3(?) passes thrown to him all year and he caught (drum roll) 0... so i doubt he was missed, and the butterfinger thing was mean, but I take a little comfort that the Giants are do to lose a FEW key players and probably fail make the playoffs next year.

Rather than start a new thread, I will ask here. Was it cold or was it funny to send Boston 900 pounds of Butterfingers? I can't decide. Part of me says it was mean. The other part thinks it was haha.

Well I for one think it was kind of tacky. :hide: At least it wasn't from a Giants area company. I can imagine how bad Wes Welker feels because I have seen him make those catches many times. IMO he's a great player. I was glad the Giants won but on any given Sunday the outcome could have been different. Glad it was the Giants Sunday.

No need to hide. I totally agree with you. And, I did an extremely poor job in wording my post.

What I meant was that I didn't know if this was cold or funny because I don't know if the sender was a Giant's fan or not. If it was a Giant's fan, then it was just cruel.

If it was a fan of the Broncos (or any other team), it was funny as in " haha the joke's on you . . . at least the Patriots made it to the SB. Where was your team?"

It was definately made by a sour Broncos fan, but the writer is encouraging revenge:

"What would be Boston's return volley here? Erecting a movie screen in downtown Denver to show a replay of the Patriots' beatdown of the Broncos in the playoffs? Dropping Curt Schilling into town to talk about the 2007 World Series? Perhaps letting Denver know Tim Tebow will be their quarterback next season?"

I thought it was a good joke. Broncos fans got a laugh, and Pats fans got free candy!

I wasn't hiding from you I was just hiding in general because if you've noticed I haven't posted much because if you don't agree with OP and state your opinion you can get hit with a frying pan so to speak. Just reading until the bickering starts then I just back out quietly. haha

    • We've got all interested GMs and their requested teams filled in for 2024 Gavin's Mock Draft, please ensure the entries are right.   There are still 10 teams available, so interested GMs can go ahead and choose your second NFL team for the Mock Draft this year, from the list of teams given at the end of this post.   @tweezy32 and @EasyE were very much interested, but their plans changed and couldn't participate as of now, if you get available back again, please let us know.   @OhioColt, as in last year, feel free to visit during draft days, and if you'd like to participate in any of the days, there might be a team you could take on if available. Same for @NFLfan, if you'd have free time, you could jump in as commissioner anytime.    Yoshinator - Denver Broncos @Yoshinator Colts Germany - New York Giants @ColtsGermany Stitches - Chicago Bears @stitches Defjamz26 - Philadelphia Eagles @Defjamz26 Solid84 - Arizona Cardinals @Solid84 Chad72 - Detroit Lions @chad72 Coltsfanej - Washington Commanders @coltsfanej Archer - New England Patriots @Archer SaturdayAllDay - New Orleans Saints @SaturdayAllDay John Hammonds - Green Bay Packers @John Hammonds PRnum1 - Buffalo Bills @PRnum1 CR91 - Las Vegas Raiders @CR91 Indyfan4life - Minnesota Vikings @Indyfan4life Tom Diggs - Atlanta Falcons @TomDiggs VikingsFanInChennai - Jacksonville Jaguars  RollerColt - Cincinnati Bengals @RollerColt csmopar - Seattle Seahawks @csmopar jvan1973 - Kansas City Chiefs @jvan1973 Hark - New York Jets @Hark runthepost - Houston Texans @runthepost Mike06181 - Los Angeles Rams @Mike06181   Teams still available to be taken as second team for GMs    NFC:    49ers  Cowboys  Bucs  Panthers     AFC:    Dolphins     Colts (Lucky Draw)  Browns  Ravens  Steelers  Chargers Titans    @Archer, @TomDiggs, @coltsfanej, @chad72 and @John Hammonds, you've already expressed interest in taking second team, so go ahead and pick any available team of your choice. Anyone else who could spare their time to take another team may go ahead and mention your preferred choice as well.   As soon as all NFL teams are assigned, I'll run the Lucky Draw for choosing Colts GM, and it could be as soon as tomorrow, so let's pick all the remaining teams pretty quick.
    • Is everyone ready for baseball to start? I know we had the two games in South Korea, but for the rest of the MLB, baseball begins! I have to wait for the Braves to play til tomorrow cause of the weather, but am looking forward to baseball beginning in two hours!
    • Interesting.   I’d say the teams drafting zone corners in the first are also playing more man coverage than other teams.      I think you can get a feel for Ballard.  Traded down from 26 to 34 to take Rock.  Traded down twice from 35 to 38 to 44 to take Juju.  So, at least to date, he hasn’t  shown a willingness to use a first on a corner.      But it’s possible that could change this year.
    • I think broadly speaking you are right.   But Ballard has always said his board is not set until about a week or two before the draft.     Plus, Ballard and his scouts and coaches go over every player in the draft three times….   In early Feb after the Senior Bowl.  In early Mar after the Combine.  In early April after Pro Days.   (That ends next week.)   So after week two is generally when they’re done.  Then the Big Board is set.
