If the price is right, sure...TE is stll a position we can upgrade and not have to use a pick

I would not consider D'qwell Jackson a bad pick-up from them.  He gave us some good years but we might have paid top dollar for it.

If we are not paying top dollar, he will do well in this offense, IMO. At least won't have to spend a pick on a TE, IMO. I think we still have some room after paying Hankins and room left to pay rookies.

Nah, I am sure Ballard wants to draft a TE cause this is one of the deepest TE classes in a long time. Some guy like Kittle in the back end could easily be a future starter. Not to mention with Doyle starting and Swoope demanding more playing time for us to see where he is at, it doesn't make sense to add Barnidge too. 

 

Now if for some reason we come out of the draft without a TE (a drafted guy with potential that is), then yea I could see that happening.

31 isn't too old for a TE.  Should have a couple more years left in him. 

 

Sounds like a good opportunity for a prove it deal.
