I think our next RB comes from this group....

Foreman's 40 time did NOT hurt him at all either.  I think there was some question as to his speed prior to that.  I actually have him as one of my options in Dr. T's mock draft contest.  I would not mind him in Colts blue.

I would love Foreman as a colt. I think he would be a great fit for us.  Just read where his newborn son passed away last November.  He is going through a terrible loss, the loss of your child.  I'm really pulling for him.

First off,  I should say I don't think we're going to take one of the sexy RB's.      I don't see the Colts taking Fournette,  Cook,   McCaffrey,   Mixon,   Kamara,  Samuel (I see him as a RB,  others see a WR)  or Foreman.

I think our next RB comes from a group of the following:    (and not necessarily in the order I'm listing them)      I see the Colts taking a RB in rounds 3-5 with the most likely round being the 4th.

Samje Perine/Oklahoma:

Jeremy McNichols/Boise State:

Marlon Mack/South Florida:

Kareem Hunt/Toledo:

Brian Hill/Wyoming:

Wayne Gallman/Clemson:

James Connor/Pittsburgh:

DeAngelo Henderson/Coastal Carolina:

Jamaal Williams/BYU:

If you have a favorite that I haven't listed,  I think we might show interest in them IF we draft a 2nd RB in this class,   or if we sign another after the draft like we did with Ferguson.      Otherwise,   I think one of these 9 is the potential heir apparent to Frank Gore,  unless we taking one of the talented backs in the 2018 class.

So.......

Out of my group of 9 possible RB's   we have only lost two.     But they're two good ones....

We lost Hunt and we lost Connor......

The other 7 are still on the board.        I hope we use our 1st pick of the 4th round to take the RB we prefer.

I then think we take a slot corner or a LB....     and then we have the last pick of the 4th,  and I'm expecting to trade down and get a 5 and a 6 for the pick.....

Great Day 2 for the Colts....      we continue to get better....

Ballard has been preaching "unique skillset" and that each player we draft needs to have a unique attribute, so I'm thinking that could remove Gallman from the equation, as he's a jack-of-all-trades, master of none.

Brian Hill and Marlom Mack would be my favorites left at this point.

He's a guy I'm really rooting for. What a good kid and sad story. However I think from the scouting reports I read , he had no chance of being drafted by the Colts unless he really fell. What I read was he's very good RB but absolutely horrible protecting the QB. No way with Luck just coming off shoulder surgery and a concussion they would risk playing Foreman a whole lot.

I'm really starting to like James conner more and more. Needs to be more consistent with his patience, but flashed it on occasion. He's a professional tackle breaker and with another year of full recovery he'll play much faster then he ran. If he could drop like 5 pounds he can be a serious talent and should be available in the late 4th.

I really hope we get Conner. The kid has overcome so much and he may want it more than most.

Unfortunately he was drafted by the Steelers last night. Good for him tho, stays in his home town. Just sucks he won't see much of the field behind Bell

Im not high on any RBs left in the draft. The Colts missed out on the "unique" ones. Sign a vet and hope Gore and company can keep Luck from throwing 100 times a game.

Plenty of RBs left. Give a F if hes "unique" if he's a good back were going to take him.
