I guess that depends on where Denver ultimately drafts

I'd love to be corrected by having McCaffrey drafted at 15 after Denver trades with us.

I don't want rb.   But I think he is the 2nd best back in the draft

Only way I would draft a RB in the first two rounds is if we trade back and get another 2nd. Draft Lamp, Ramczyk or Dawkins in the 1st-2nd and then a RB in the second (McCaffery, Cook, Mixon-I understand that they may not be there in the second round). I would have to have a stud Guard or Tackle first.  I am tired of drafting the flash w/o first solidifying the thunder.

Cheers

His value to the Colts is 0 at 15th plus he is overrated

Some say he is the best RB in the draft and I agree with them.

Doesn't matter..... Elway will just say "you don't have to play for them, I didn't".... "come to Denver".

The Indianapolis Colts are not even close to what the Baltimore Colts were back when Elway was drafted.

This kid wasn't even born and more than likely has no clue about the Baltimore Colts.

Id be very upset if the Colts take a glorified slot WR at #15.

If you think all he is is a glorified WR then you are very lacking in seeing football skills.

To be honest IMO he will already be gone at pick #15 so all this difference of opinions makes no difference.

I don't get high little boy. Post your "opinion" when the draft starts and see for yourself how smart you are on this player.

Who has said he is the best back in the draft?

One of the hosts on GMFB said it this morning.  Don't remember his name... (not Burleson or Schrager... the other guy).

Edit:  But he was doing a fake war room segment trying to justify picking McCaffrey to the Chargers at #7 soo... take it with a grain or 10 of salt.

I haven't seen anyone rate him above Fornette

The top RB's all have a neg, like all players. There is no one RB that can compete with McCaffrey's versatility. Several commentators urge teams to pick him over the competition.

Like who?  I haven't heard anyone suggest mccaffery over fornette

He seems more like a Tim tebow. Great in college but not really an asset in the nfl

:sigh:

Articles on Colts.com are already suggesting Turbin wants and might get  more of a prominent role in our backfield.  He is $$$ as a short yardage back. CM would be a nice compliment to him.

I agree. It's not a matter of who is the best but who will be of greater value. Example, Walter Payton can't compare to some of the statistics of other former RBs but his value was obvious. The consensus on McCaffrey is he will be gone easily in the first round. If he is still there when the Colts pick comes up I hope they grab him regardless of their secondary needs.
