I don't think the poster has taken too much heat. They pretty much explained where and how this story went down. They even put out a disclaimer.
As we have learned from many years of rumors not too many put much thought into the truthfulness of rumors. I have a tendency to dismiss rumors myself.
Rumors about Luck will continue till we or someone we trust sees Luck throw the football.
As long as they use the RBs in the passing game, I am all for it. I imagine they have a few guys in mind to pair with Mack...and someone in the short yardage role (could be Turbin or could be someone else).
I also wouldn't be surprised to see the Colts go back to utillizing a more dynamic player at TE. You've got a GM and the former OC of the two best TEs in the NFL, so they both understand that an elite pass-catching TE is a gamechanger. So while the TE position has been a staple of the Colts offense, I think it will become a focal point in a different way. Swoope could be that type of guy next year, but they might be thinking bigger.
I agree. But if that were to happen where Tampa Bay traded up to 5 to get Chubb, then most likely Fitzpatrick will be available who also is a stud. So either way, trading down to 5th or 6th overall Indy will still get an elite player.
I have little doubt Ballard could trade down with the Jets at the lowest, and they could still get Chubb there. I feel like Tampa Bay would draft Chubb at 7th overall. The Jets may want to move up ahead of Denver anyhow to get their QB. Or Denver is another team we could trade down with and still get Chubb.
If Ballard could get an extra early 2nd and possibly more and still land Chubb at 5 or 6 overall, I would be happy if of course Chubb does very well at the combine.
