Conley Island in Indy?

Recommended Posts

After giving this a lot of thought, Conley makes a ton of sense for us.

Corner is our most pressing need and the value is there at #15. I would love to see us pair him up with Vontae.

I cannot see any downside to drafting Conley at #15.

I love Conley. I have him as my second best (healthy) CB this year. All the physical and athletic traits to be no. 1 CB, and all the smoothness to cover at any level on the field. I love him.

Needs to be a bit more physical at the LOS and in run support.

I love Conley and honestly, as much as I have been preaching EDGE or ILB in the first, I would still be ecstatic if we got the man.

Also, something I noticed in the above video as well as many other portions of film on him was that he has that elite 6th sense when someone is behind him. Check out time stamp 0:32. At the start of the crossing route, he begins following inside, but then, without even glancing back, he drops perfectly back into step with the outside man. There wasn't any hesitation, he just knew where the man was and made the perfect shift to cover that man. I haven't seen such impressive natural instincts in a long time.

I like Conley more than Lattimore.

I think Lattimore is better with the ball in the air, but his lack of physicality is a turn off for me. Pure coverage, I'm taking Lattimore, but I think Conley might wind up being the better player.
