For what it's worth, I'm against making the change to 2 hours instead of three.  If we're gonna do that, I think most people will miss their picks and the rest essentially becomes an autodraft.  Since so many people are missing picks now, and it seems like there is significantly less interest, we could simply end things after the 4th round.  However, if there is significant interest remaining, we could continue until the end of the month.  Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm cool with going as long as we can.  With a week left and 2 hours of picks, we should be able to make it through the 5th, maybe even 6th if we're vigilant about it.

They could use another WR, but since they drafted 1 already in the 4th round, I'd say the next best prospect at a position of need is Ejuan Price.

Let me know if you have a preference between either:

121 WR  RYAN SWITZER - NORTH CAROLINA
138 EDGE  EJUAN PRICE - PITT

I'll give it until about 11:25 and if nothing I'll just coin flip it.

FYI @Superman You and the Dolphins are on deck.

Ryan Switzer continues to get dumped on, LOL.

With the 143rd pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Los Angels Rams select Ejuan Price, EDGE, from Pittsburg.

@Superman - the Dolphins are now on the clock.

I'll update the draft list - @21isSuperman - we're due for another clean up on the first page whenever you get some free time.  Also Btown Colt has missed last couple of picks - are we doing the autodraft thing for him?  Alternatively, @Btown_Colt, if you are okay, we can autodraft for you to speed up the game if you are losing interest in later rounds or are just feeling done with it.  Let us know.

I think there is interest to keep the game going.  I know that I am, but obviously, I don't want to run this whole thing on autodraft.

It's getting harder at this point because less people are participating.  But in general, you pick who you want, if time expires, they "autodraft" BPA.  We'll discuss other options if they don't need a player at that position or have other gaping needs (i.e. so we avoid thigns like drafting 2 QBs in the first 3 rounds or something that makes no sense).

Maybe we could PM everyone and gauge the interest in continuing on and for those that aren't interested, we can put them on autodraft - or even assign interested persons to the teams who's GMs made the lucrative decision to resign from their teams mid-draft (talk about anarchy and media frenzy!).  There might be 6 or 7 of us with 4 teams a piece, but hey, we'll get it done faster.  LOL.

Maybe we could PM everyone and gauge the interest in continuing on and for those that aren't interested, we can put them on autodraft - or even assign interested persons to the teams who are no longer interested.  There might be 6 or 7 of us with 4 teams a piece, but hey, we'll get it done faster.  LOL.

There is a good chance I will gone for a chunk of Friday but I will help

all I need is the draftees for any team that I am assigned

You might want to PM Colts1324 too to see if they would like to help

I can't let my boy keep dropping. I was actually hoping he'd last, and he did.

At #144, the Miami Dolphins take Ryan Switzer, WR, North Carolina. And I gave him big type to make up for his draft fall. (I think he'll go in the 5th or 6th in real life, tbh.)

Not sure if we're still going or not.

I was going to try to send out a message but it only lets me send a message to like 5 people, but not more.  So I guess I will just ping everyone here.

@CR91   @Superman   @SaturdayAllDay    @21isSuperman    @Finball   @loudnproudcolt   @WarGhost21   @jseg18   @jvan1973   @MPStack   @OffensivelyPC   @tweezy32   @Jared Cisneros   @PrincetonTiger   @danlhart87   @NFLfan   @chad72   @GOZER   @DaColts85   @stitches   @Btown_Colt   @MTC

We've just completed round 4 and we've reached a point in the draft where people are not participating as much.  I'm not crticizing anyone, but it's become a reality, an expected one even, the later we get into the draft.  So I wanted to gauge as much interest as I could in figuring out who wants to continue drafting and who doesn't.  There's 22 of us participating in the draft and anyone interested in joining should speak up if they'd like to take anyone's teams who is on autodraft or prefers to drop out ( @Colts1324 pinging you at PrincetonTiger's recommendation).

The way I see it, we need a good 3rd of us or so to make it interesting, but if people want to continue this, we'll either need participation autodrafting throughout the day or for leftover GMs (and new ones if anyone decides to join) to take on more teams.  If we had 8 participants, that's 4  teams per GM.  3-ish if we had 11 of us.  I think if we don't reach that number we could still continue, but it won't be quite as much fun and it'll be more of a chore for the rest of us.

For the time being, I suppose we could continue drafting until we get an idea of what our next move is.  So with that in mind:

@WarGhost21 The Cleveland Browns are on the clock (12:39 EDT)

Upcoming picks:
146. San Francisco 49ers @Btown_Colt
147. Chicago Bears @Finball
148. Jacksonville Jaguars @Jared Cisneros

I will continue participating. It is getting boring personally for me since the Seahawks and Saints do not have picks till 179 and very few picks after. So I'd be happy to take a 3rd and/or 4th team on, just FYI, to make sure a GM will get their picks in faster and to keep my interest in this game going. :)

Let's let @chad72 make the pick for him since he's got a while to go.  Since btown has the skins and 49ers, you can be co-GM until Btown makes an appearance and/or objects.

I'll pick the rest of the way with the Jags and see what happens. My pick is next anyway.

I'd like to keep going, but with the shortened time for picks and having to juggle work and whatnot, I don't know if I can make the time commitment required to finish before the real draft.

    •   As long as it is not a typo, I will be prepared.
    •   I saw that too.  I can make it work, but I thought we were doing Sunday, September 3rd, in the afternoon?   No?
    • No prob. I think colt and pat fans can get along.  Did i just say that?  I threw up a lil in my mouth just thinking about it. The pats are easy to hate. (For the rest of the league)
    •   Michael Phelps challenges whale to race
    •   I was just pointing out when I look at stats, I will look to see what makes up the stats, how are the stats come by, are the stats effected by things like play calling (run the ball in the end zone or pass it), coaching (are you a passing team or a ball control team) etc.  Then i can get a better gauge on stat as to whether or not, and to what extent, I think that it is reflective of the intrinsic value contributed by a player.  Drew Brees throws over 5000 yards a handful of times, and so on.    With Passing yards and passing TDs, there is element where a player has an opportunity to garner these stats and not necessarily by his own skill.   If Team A (like the Pats in SB 51) are trailing (or are in shootout and need to keep scoring as its D is a sieve and keeps yielding score for score) in say 12 games, then the offense on that team will still be running and gunning till the end of the game in 12 games. And in the other 4 games they are in control and the offense and the team are trying run out the clock.  And say the team throws for an extra 80-100 yards and 1 TD on average in those 12 games they will throw an additional 1000 yards and 12 TDs.   Lets flip it around and say Team B is the exact opposite and is in a shootout for 4 games and running out the clock in 12 games and all else is the same.  Well they with throw for an additional 400 yards and 4 TDs.   And lets add that we know that each QB can do the same regardless of which team he is on.    We will have at the end of the season QB for Team A will of had an opportunity to put up 600 more passing yards and 8 passing TDs.  So if the two end up as follows:   QB Team A:  4600 yards, 38 TDs QB Team B:   4000 yards, 30 TDs   As first look it looks like QB on Team A is the "better" QB, but when we look to the above, understand that either QB could do same on the other team, the separation is not attributed to intrinsic talent of the QB but merely the fact that one more opportunities to cumulate stats.     And this is just a illustration to show my point.  it could just as easily be just 4 games versus 1 game where each thrown for 150 yards each and 1 TD and thus the overall difference would be 450 yards and 3 TDs, and so on.   So that is why i would like to be able get our hands around stats similar to the above to get a better gauges on the end yearly numbers.   My sense in reading some responses is that the colts did not have a good a defense as the pats, that they had more offensive weapons; and as such, likely might of found themselves in Team A's situation more times than Team B's.  I do not mean 12 games, but what ever it is, be nice to know it to get a more weighted value in the end.    Btw, i loved what you did with the comparisons and looked to each player against their contemporaries and that gives a better gauge then trying to compare  a player from 2014 to one in 1982.
