It must be a hack with that comment the Tennessee is trash

It isnt really a "hack". Wikipedia is all open source and anyone can add any information to it at any time. They have fact checkers that verify the information later but you can make any outlandish claim you want and it will be up like that until they find it. There are lots of hilarious things that have been done. There was a point where the page for Actor Ray Ramano was all in hypothetical (RR could be a famous actor. He might have been in the hit show.....etc) or other famous pages have been changed to say that people were secretly the Loch Ness monster. That is why Wikipedia isnt a proper source for most educational institutions.

could this be fake news?

Pretty much what it is. Just the nature of wikipedia. I could go on there right now and claim that Mathis was a giant fire breathing chicken and it would be on his page as "fact" until it was found by fact checkers a few days later.

From the "You Had a Bad Day" department.....one of the funniest (well, funny now at least), and evidently true, Wikipedia facts I've read described a game in which Phillies Hall of Famer Richie Ashburn did this.....

----------------------------------------------

During an August 17, 1957 game Ashburn hit a foul ball into the stands that struck spectator Alice Roth, wife of Philadelphia Bulletin sports editor Earl Roth, breaking her nose. When play resumed Ashburn fouled off another ball that struck her while she was being carried off in a stretcher.[4]
