I appreciate any comments that conflict with what I observed, but please use game film and not highlight tapes.

This guy. Man, I don't know where I should start. Low field awareness, slow burst. He looks huge...for nothing. The RT in the Clemson game looked scared and he still couldn't close the deal. He did get double teams a few times, but when he was 1 on 1, seemed like he was worse.

 

He looses track of the ball easily and is easily stalled.

 

 

He got utterly destroyed by A&M (That Texas AM OLINE looks pretty good don't they)

 

I watched the whole Texas A & M and I just stopped 4 minutes into the Clemson tape. I don't even think I need to watch any more. But I saw the Oklahoma film and I saw the same from him.

 

Now to his credit, he does get a good number pressures, but he is a  non factor when run plays are coming his way.

What happened to this dude. I liked him coming out of High School, he was a 5 star recruit. Was he hurt for the year, does anyone know?

I just don't see what some see in him. Have seen mocks with us taking him in the 2nd and that's ridiculous imo.

He's basically the only pass rusher to beat Tunsil. The only knock against him is injuries.

Yeah we have enough injury-riddled players I think already. I don't like Lawson either.

While injuries are a bit of an issue, this "bum" just benched 35 reps at the combine, tied for tops in the entire combine this year

While I don't have any opinion on Lawson, great bench press results don't always translate to on-the-field ability or production
