A huge loss - not only to his family,  i am sure, but to this board.  I always looked forward to reading his posts, especially around the draft.

Yikes. That's so shocking. I had no idea he was suffering with health issues. Truly sad news. The few times I interacted with Gavin I learned that he was an honest and knowledgable dude. He knows his stuff. Prayers for his family. This forum lost a damn good one.

Absolutely horrible news, can't believe it. Loved talking to Gavin about the draft the 3 years I've been on here. Got in some debates, like Mack Vs Clowney, Collins Vs Brown, and others which he could give incredible insight no matter who he favored. Extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk too, don't think he had an enemy on this forum and will be dearly missed. Sad day for this forum. R.I.P Gavin and Godspeed.

    • Don't think Boston would do that. I'd rather have both picks too but they will be wanting to keep the young players and open up cap space so they would likely want to move guys they won't re-sign like Avery Bradley and company. I actually think they might want to move Isaiah because he would be due a big contract in a year or whatever and he has the hip injury. Hard to tell if you take a point guard in Fultz and you have Smart already and Rozier....that's a lot of point guards to have. If we got just both picks or also a throw in we would be looking at a true rebuild. We would see us tanking next year and having possibly two top 10 picks to pair with the #1 from this year and Turner. That would be pretty good way to rebuild. That way you just have to sign perhaps one or two free agents with the cap space you free up from losing PG, Teague, CJ, Monta, and AL and you should have a very competitive team. I think Turner is going to be an all-star caliber player. Just have to hit on a couple draft picks and then add a nice free agent or two and you should be able to compete in the East. There is no replacing PG...but if you see that you can't improve the team around him for the long term...you get the best deal you can or you risk your star just walking out on you leaving you with nothing to rebuild with.
    • too late now, but i streamed it live on youtube
    • Yes, You are correct! He's got drug suspension possible. So I wouldn't touch this he's also got some character issues. He;s not the worst guy around or anything but his car was pulled over with a 12 yr old kid smelling of weed and he resisted arrest.
    • Reggie White? Hes considered the GOAT at his position isn't he? Though JJ Watt has a shot to beat him out.
    • No. Some of those players are going to be underwhelming or outright busts. And the majority of them are going to need time to get acclimated to the NFL's level of speed. There are some positions that just take awhile to develop, the secondary would have a very hard time.    Then to win it they need to go up against much more experienced teams.

    •   Sorry to keep harping on the Irish thing, but did you know the horseshoe has seven points on it?  (The Colts horseshoe, anyway.  Actual shoes for horses depend on the farrier).   Seven is considered a lucky number...  Lucky.  Luck.  I'm telling you, you picked the right team to root for.   7
    •   Don't hold Boston against the Irish.  It's not our fault.    We love our green, which makes Indiana a tearmann.   I love it that you chose to root for an underdog instead of the Pats.  I don't think it's coincidence that you became a fan around the time Luck got drafted to the Colts.  That's providence.     Horseshoe?  Luck?  Four-leaf clover?  Come on.  Hoosier Hospitality has roots in Irish fun-lovery.  If you're lucky enough to be Irish, you're lucky enough!  May the luck of the Irish be with you!
