Could this happen? A first-pick mock...

Round 1 Pick 3 (3) (CHI) Jets: Derek Barnett, DE/OLB, Tennessee
Round 1 Pick 4 (4) (JAX) Panthers: Jonathan Allen, DT/DE, Alabama

Round 1 Pick 8 (8) (CAR) Jaguars: Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
Round 1 Pick 9 (9) (CINN) Titans: Malik Hooker, FS/SS, Ohio State
Round 1 Pick 10 (10) Bills: Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State
Round 1 Pick 11 (11) Saints: Taco Charlton, DE/OLB, Michigan
Round 1 Pick 12 (12) Browns: Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
Round 1 Pick 13 (13) (ARI) Chargers: Jabrill Peppers, SS/OLB, Michigan
Round 1 Pick 14 (14) Eagles: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
Round 1 Pick 15 (15) Colts: Jamal Adams, SS, LSU

I don't think Sidney Jones gets taken this high with his torn Achilles. He's probably going to be out of the first round. I would love Jamal Adams as our pick.

Interesting, a safety. I still think we go pass rusher and CB in the first two rounds, or that might just be wishful thinking for me. haha

Safety is a need too. Man, we could easily use 10 picks in the first four rounds. Going to be a stressful draft that is for sure!

Here are my latest attempts at a fanspeak mocks.

1. Using Fanspeak's board:

1: R1P15
CB MARSHON LATTIMORE
OHIO STATE
2: R2P14
EDGE TIM WILLIAMS
ALABAMA
3: R3P15

5: R4P30

6: R4P37

7: R5P15
CB HOWARD WILSON

*Elijah Lee - After the great combine Jordan Willis had, I decided to go watch his film and no. 9 kept flashing time and time again. He was always around the ball, so I decided to check him up. So yeah. that's him - Elijah Lee. I need to do more study on him, but he looked good from what I've seen so far.

2. Using DraftTek's board

1: R1P15
DL JONATHAN ALLEN
ALABAMA
2: R2P14
EDGE CHARLES HARRIS
MISSOURI
3: R3P15
CB TRE'DAVIOUS WHITE

I completely agree. I can see Reddick being there at 15 and I could see Takk's injury causing him to drop a bit. I'm not sure about to our 2nd round pick, but who knows. There's no way Kupp lasts to the 3rd...he's a top 5 WR.

Haason hopefully is there at 15, Takk won't make it out of the top 25 even with the injury, and I wouldn't want a WR that early anyway tbh. Also Ahkello Witherspoon is a 2nd round corner easily.

To me, Adams was easily the best player left. I think he's top 8, at worst, so I couldn't pass him up. If he dropped to #15 in that scenario, I think it's a no brainer.

Good point. I was looking for the obvious flaw in that mock, and couldn't really see one. There's plenty to nitpick -- Watson to the Niners is unlikely, but you can't rule it out -- but the rest of it looks plausible, at the very least. That's probably too high for Reddick, influenced by his stellar Combine performance; I'm not sure I'd take Reddick at #15.

Jones is the obvious flaw, I think. There are reports he drops to the the third round. I wouldn't touch him before the 4th at this point. He needs to be examined thoroughly, make sure there's no nerve damage, etc., and see how his recovery is going before anyone invests a high pick in him. It's really too bad, he was probably a first round lock, even though I'm not his biggest fan. Hope he had insurance, and I hope he makes a full recovery.

Maybe the eagles would go WR.

But I don't see the Chargers taking Peppers over Adams.

Why would Philly take a WR?  That's the one things they went after in FA with Smith and Jeffries.  Plus they still have Jordan Mathews.  I say they go with anything D or a RB.

Supes you know your my favorite poster on here (sorry NFLFAN) but I can't see that happening even though I would love it. Peppers and Hooker imo won't go before Adams. Hooker I don't think will be ready to play day 1 and he hasn't been measured and Peppers while crazy athlete is not nearly as good as Adams. Adams and Hooker are close but I think without a combine and pro day Adams is the safer bet to go first. I could see Hooker falling to us before Adams. I see some flaws...I cant see Fournette not going top 15 and the Jones pick won't happen obviously and while I love Reddick that's the highest I've ever seen him..I mean ever. To me that is where Adams goes because Tennessee is desperate for secondary help. I also think the QBs that is too high...also high on Taco too(probably more likely to see Bennett around there and not at 3 I haven't seen him that high) What I do think is we will have a great player there for us no matter what...but Adams I just can't see that sorry. About as long a shot as it was for us to sign Hightower, Poe, Gillmore, and Perry this offseason. Then again I didn't think we could trade Allen for a 4th so strange things happen.

You REALLY wanted me to see this post, huh??? lol

Yeah, I think everyone's a little high on Peppers. I was, too. Went back and watched film, I don't think he's a top ten guy, definitely not above Adams. But that's JMO. Hard to see the board falling that way.

And like someone else pointed out, Sidney Jones won't go at 14 now, with his injury.

If this happened, I would be ridiculously happy. You have a starter at ILB, a pass-rush starter, a CB starter AND a CB starter for the future. You have a 3-down talent RB that can do it all and would learn behind Gore. And you have some high potential players at the back end (Hall and Gibson can be future starters).

I did this mock draft with www.draftwired2.com. Their board is a bit off with a few guys, but I felt overall it's a solid board.

Trade: Our 15 for HOU's 25, 57

Picks:

Rd 1 Pk 25 - Haason Reddick (ILB) Temple

Rd 2 Pk 46 - T.J. Watt (OLB 3/4) Wisconsin

Rd 2 Pk 57 - Quincy Wilson (CB) Florida

Rd 3 Pk 80 - Dorian Johnson (G) Pittsburgh

Rd 4 Pk 122 - Trey Hendrickson (OLB 3/4) Florida Atlantic

Rd 4 Pk 137 - Tedric Thompson (FS) Colorado

Rd 4 Pk 144 - Stevie Tu'kolovatu (NT) Southern Cal

Rd 5 Pk 158 - Jamaal Williams (RB) BYU

I'm generally not a big fan of trades in mocks, but I figured why not trade down 10 spots and still get my guy? I missed grabbing Hunt, but I'll take Williams as a consolation prize. Overall, this draft brings in quality players in positions of need, the top 4 potentially being day 1 starters.

I think I would drop the G and grab another CB (we need 2 starters) but otherwise I like it.

Just had my best draft of 2017.

Trades:
(27, 59, 132) from KC  for (15)
(65, 175, 181) from CLE for (59)

Picks:
Rd 1   Pk  27 - Forrest Lamp (G) Western Kentucky
Rd 2   Pk  46 - Jarrad Davis (ILB) Florida
Rd 3   Pk  65 - Gareon Conley (CB) Ohio State
Rd 3   Pk  80 - Derek Rivers (OLB 3/4) Youngstown State
Rd 4   Pk 122 - Jaleel Johnson (NT) Iowa
Rd 4   Pk 132 - D'Onta Foreman (RB) Texas
Rd 4   Pk 137 - Rayshawn Jenkins (FS) Miami (Fla.)
Rd 4   Pk 144 - Howard Wilson (CB) Houston
Rd 5   Pk 158 - George Kittle (TE) Iowa
Rd 5   Pk 175 - Josh Reynolds (WR) Texas A&M
Rd 5   Pk 181 - Shaquill Griffin (CB) UCF

I don't know about Conley in the third, most mocks I'm seeing have him going in the first, but this would be great if it happened.

I just tried a simulated draft with Kyle Crabbs' board on Fanspeak. His board is very weird so... here's what I got:

15: R1P15
RB JOE MIXON
OKLAHOMA
46: R2P14
EDGE DEREK RIVERS
YOUNGSTOWN STATE
80: R3P16
EDGE CHARLES HARRIS
MISSOURI
121: R4P14
LB RAEKWON MCMILLAN
OHIO STATE
137: R4P30
CB CHIDOBE AWUZIE
COLORADO
144: R4P37
S MARCUS WILLIAMS
UTAH
158: R5P14
DL JALEEL JOHNSON
IOWA

That's not happening. Like... ever.
