Andrew Luck recovering from surgery

I was unaware that he underwent surgery. Per Irsay he is recovering from right shoulder surgery.

I am not surprised he had something done,  Will Carrol brought up the possible need surgery back when he first showed up on the injury report this year.  I don't know if that's what Luck had done but this isn't shocking to me.

Still for me, any surgery for luck is concerning (extra for his throwing shoulder). Will wait for more details about the procedure......

Why did he play all season with a lingering injury to his throwing shoulder? Especially the last games when we couldn't even make the playoffs.

My best guesses would be because a- he's competitive and felt he could still play. And B- he was playing hard to try and keep his coach from getting fired. 

With Paganos job on the line he's not going to shut luck down and essentially ask to be fired (as much as we may want him to).

Throwing shoulder is just a huge deal.. but hey it seems the surgery went fine.

And this is why I choose to not take much of any of what they say about his injury during the regular season seriously.

Sure, his arms not falling off, but still. I thought some of his throws in the last week or two, distinctly remember a short throw to Doyle and Turbin, that hit the dirt with no velocity, that I thought remember looking strange. Could've just been the grip and the glove he was using though.

The simple goal for #Colts QB Andrew Luck following surgery is to not have to be limited in practice anymore. Take care of it once & for all

Agreed, hopefully he will be fully recovered by the seasons start with zero setbacks. If so I am hopeful for an even better season in '17.

Doesn't surprise me.  I mentioned it months ago that I thought he would have shoulder surgery at the end of the year and it happened.  Just lucky of course but now we can look forward to an even healthier Luck!

I don't know if this is what Luck had worked on but this was from before the start of the season written by Will Carroll which might give some background information.

Probably because the injury couldn't get worse.   Hard to say without knowing what the injury was

Hopefully he has a quick and speedy recovery.  He's got 6 months or so to recover.  Hopefully it doesn't cause him any more issues from here on out!
