Colts Vs. Packers Game Day Thread

Hi, Colts fans!  :)  Our 3-5 Indianapolis Colts continue their hunt to stay on top of the AFC South Division, and  try to win their second  consecutive road game of the season, as they visit the 4-3 Green Bay Packers in an NFC North interconference game.   Indianapolis is  playing a regular season game in Green Bay for the first time in eight years, and also will try to win at historic Lambeau Field for the first time in 28 years.

Ever since the Colts lost their first two games of their 2016 NFL season by hosting Detroit and later losing at Denver, Indianapolis has been alternating their wins and losses over their opponents since September 25.  Indianapolis's last road win was two weeks ago when Andrew Luck and the Colts came from behind in less than two minuites in the fourth quarter, to defeat the Tennessee Titans by the score of 34-26, and played at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, back on October 23.

Andrew Luck engineered the game-winning drive in their last regular season meeting with the Packers played four years ago at Lucas Oil Stadium (the building). In the fourth quarter,  Packers QB Aaron Rodgers threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to RB James Jones, followed by his failed two-point pass conversion with 4:30 remaining.  Luck then threw an 8-yard pass to WR Reggie Wayne with 35 seconds remaining in the game, followed by Donald Brown's two-yard run, to win the game for Indianapolis, 30-27, back on October 4, 2012.

That win from that last meeting earned the Colts the lead in the all-time regular season series, plus one postseason game (1965)  at 22 wins, 21 losses, and 1 tie (20-20 1982 @ Baltimore) in today's 45th meeting, a rivalry that began when the Colts defeated the Packers  41-21 in the first game at Baltimore's Memorial Stadium, back on November 5, 1950.

Indianapolis also seeks to win their first regular season road game at Green Bay for the first time since 1988. Colts QB Chris Chandler threw two touchdown passes, 4-yards to WR Matt Bouza , and 24-yards to WR Mark Boyer, along with Dean Biasucci's 20 and 25 yard field goals, and his two PAT's to help the Colts win 20-13 back on November 13, 1988.  Chandler was 9 for 17 passes completed for 98 yards and two TD's, while the Packers Don Majkowski, was 24-41 for 216 yards and 1 TD.

Sunny and clear skies at 65 degrees, is the game forecast inside Lambeau Field in Green Bay (Ashwaubenon), Wisconsin, for the 4:25PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff.

NO injuries, try to both win your fourth game in two weeks, and your first game at Lambeau Field, since 1988, and LET'S GO COLTS!!!!!    :coltslogo:    :1colts:  :colts:  :coltshelmet:  :coltslogo:

This could be bad guys...bad.

Recent history has been bizarre between these 2 teams though. The Packers beat the Colts up and down the field all game long in 2012 then blew it. In 2008 the Packers did the same thing and won during their forgettable 6-10 season believe it or not. Then in 2004 the Colts won a Brett Favre vs Peyton Manning shootout 45-31. The other time The Gunslinger squared off against The Sheriff, The Gunslinger won 26-24 in an upset in 2000. That leaves 2004 as the only really predictable game so we'll see.

Yeah I usually pick us to win but I can see us losing this one something like 34-24, not necessarily a blowout because I think we can score on them but I don't see how we stop their Offense.

I'm kind of angry this game is later. Spent this whole time thinking it was at 12 and now I have to wait another 4 hours. Tired of all these late games.

Yeah, it's a been a bit of a weird year in terms of our schedule.  A few late games to start the year, then London, then Sunday night.  We haven't had many of the 1 PM EST games, which is when the Colts usually play
