When I lived in Atlanta and listened to the Colts games on Sirius radio, it was nice to hear him, though frustrating when the other team would start winning and he'd still get excited.

I was lucky enough to talk with Bob for about 15 minutes at the Colts camp last year and he is a very nice man. The dude knows how to get into a game emotionally and it rubs off on the fans when they listen to him.

I wasn't sure what he said. My wife gave me a look like "did he seriously say that lol". I'm still not sure what he said but yeah he is very invested in the games and you can always tell what's on his mind lol!

I think Bob gets so excited he don't think about what he is saying. It just comes out good or bad. I think that is why he is so popular because he comes off more as a fan than an announcer.

He will be missed when he retires.

I am sorry I never met him even though I saw him at games since '77 so many times  What a legend, God Bless you Bob!

Lamey was awesome when he announced the Pacers. I remember as a kid I was always looked forward to listening to him on the radio.

He'll be missed greatly he is truly the voice of the Colts. I quite love the guy and dread the day when he can't do it anymore. I've talked to him many times to and he is also a very humble man beside being a nice guy.

He's the best Indiana announcer we have ever had and it's not even close. Overall not sure where he ranks but at least Top 10 at worse probably. Mark Boyle is awesome too. We have had some great one's here.

I loved Kellogg too with Bake. Man Mark Boyle is an outstanding Pacers radio announcer. He is the best in the league today IMO.

Many thought Lamey dropped the f bomb when Marvin made a ridiculous one-handed leaping catch against the Titans. It was probably Marvin's greatest catch ever. The audio highlight clip, later that day, was changed to "circus" catch. LOL.

Great memories, the 'ol WHA.  As I recall, the Birmingham Bulls were a bunch of crazy brawlers.   Here in the Peg we had the pleasure of Hedburg, Nilsson, & Hull, and also Kent Nilsson, with Bob Nicholson & Curt Kielback doing the broadcasts.

We beat Cincinnati 4 games to 0, but lost to Quebec 4-1 in the semifinal.  We lost an overtime game 6-5 that should we have won the series would have been tied 2-2 and who knows but the Jets had a great team as well. I believe The Nordiques beat the Jets 4-3 in the final of 1977

I'm glad I wasn't hearing things.  At first it just seemed normal, and then I thought "hey, wait a second, this is live on the air".  He basically just said what all of us were thinking, funny as hell.

Wthr said this evening that the FCC "may " fine him and the Colts radio networks up to 265,000 dollars for the slip. A slip he said himself he didn't realize he made and was extremely apologetic.
