Pot Roast got released because he's not holding up in the run game anymore.  I figured Kruger was going to get released.  Kruger is kind of old right now, but he did get 11-14 sacks in 2014 I believe.  Not sure what he's got left.

Unless we are really desperate I'd prefer to pass on guys who couldn't even make the 75 man roster.

I'd be more interested in Kruger then Pot Roast but the fact that he didn't even make the 75 man roster is pretty telling.  There is a pretty good chance he's done.

I just think they wanted to get rid of Kruger because they have young guys they like and want to get playing time.  Kruger may still have something left. Not that I'm panning for us to pick him up or anything.   Just think it may have been a matter of coaching preference.

Browns just changed their entire football staff. I'm surprised Kruger made it past May. I think he's still serviceable, but I'm not hot for him.

The way it sounds he will be traded or released soon

Well this is the same team that groomed a QB for four years and then let him slip out when they needed him most. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point lol.

He is terrible.   If they want someone to tutor young guys,   There are better options sitting at home who they can sign.

Also,  They didn't let Os slip out the door,   The Texans just paid well above what the Broncos felt he was worth

After giving this guy all the reps the past few months? Yeah, they could've cut him a long time ago and brought someone else in.

No, Elway wanted Brock. Badly. There was no way he was going back to the Broncos, though. The money was just a bonus.

If the Broncos offered more,  He would be a bronco

The Broncos sure have a lot of confidence in their defense with this Simien move.  I think it's too much confidence.  Seems kind of Kyle Bollerish to me, and the Ravens found out the hard way about that one.  Defense can't continuously carry the load.

I doubt it. He's the most experienced guy they have. They should at least keep him to tutor the young guys.

I thought he should start since they wouldn't have a qb with 1 regular season snap on their roster but if he is being outplayed by a practice squad guy from last year and they are grooming a rookie to start what purpose does he serve. The kicker here is they would save 3.5 million dollars by cutting him...and most importantly a conditional draft pick to the eagles from the trade for him. So he is as good as cut at this point I fully believe.

You would think so but I am not sure he would of. Qwiz has a point because I think there is a possibility he didn't want the pressure in following Peyton's footsteps and just wanted a fresh start. It takes a special QB to want to take on the challenge of following a legend like Andrew has but it's not for everyone and tough to do mentally. Rodgers loved the challenge as well following Favre.

Sergio Brown is available again.  Geoff Schwartz and Andrew Gardner are two people to look at, but both have had injury problems recently.

Our current gunner is terrible, if Sergio still has the hops, bring him in, IMO.

Ahhhh.......    ehhhhh........      ummmmm.....       Slip out when they needed him most?     They offered him $64 Mill.     Houston paid $72 Mill.      It's not like Denver didn't offer a market value contract.

Oh,  and one last thing....    that team that shouldn't surprise you at this point (lol) all they did was win the Super Bowl with perhaps the worst QB play in the 50 year history of the SB.

Welcome back to Colts.com!!      Good luck this year!

    • Welcome once again to Dr. T’s annual, official, Colts Draft Contest for 2024! Believe it or not, this is the 25th year we are doing this since the first contest was the Edgerrin James draft of 1999! With only seven choices this year, we needed to be creative again. So, contestants will be asked to select an A, B, and C choice for ALL rounds. Correctly choosing choice A merits 5 points, while correctly choosing choice B or C instead will merit 4 and 3 points respectively. If one of your "A" selections is chosen, but in a different round than you predicted, you get 2 points, if one of your "B" selections is chosen in a different round than you predicted, you get 1 point, and if one of your "C" selections is chosen in a different round than you predicted, you get 0.5 points. In addition, we will have a bonus question again this year and give everyone the opportunity to predict if the Colts will trade their #15 pick! The choices will be: trade up, trade back, stay put or you can also abstain from guessing. Like last year, if you predict correctly, you earn one point, but if you are incorrect, you will be DEDUCTED one point. If you don’t want to risk it, you can also abstain (no harm, no foul). For those that do not answer this question, the default is that this is a vote to abstain. If AND ONLY IF there is no clear winner at the end of the 7 rounds of the draft, the contest will be extended for ALL participants in which everyone will also be awarded one point for each collegiate free agent you predicted would be drafted by the Colts but was instead signed by the Colts after the draft.  Make your choices here by listing the round, choice A, B, or C for each round, with the name of the player, position and school AND your prediction on whether the Colts will trade the #15 pick this year. You may also write with each choice a little blurb explaining your rationale. Your 21 Colts selections and draft question this year are as follows:   Round 1 - #15 A, B, C Round 2 - #46 A, B, C Round 3 - #82 A, B, C Round 4 - #117 A, B, C Round 5 - #151 A, B, C Round 6 - #191 A, B, C Round 7 - #234 A, B, C   BONUS: Will the Colts trade the #15 pick this year?  1) Yes, they will trade up. 2) Yes, they will trade back. 3) No, they will stay put. 4) I don’t want to risk losing a point and will abstain.   Please be a good sport and do not just copy other contestant's selections. You can easily do some research on your own, since plenty of free draft services are available on the web. You also can make changes to your selections, but this can only be done before the contest is closed on Thursday at 11:00 AM CST April 25, 2024, on the first day of the draft. Good luck and let the best GM win!
    • I guess Im not that excited about the class for one thing, maybe Im missing something.  What I see is rookie DEs fighting for playing time if they got here, I dont see big upgrades over what we have.  I do see big upgrades elsewhere that would start, probably day 1
    • Why be anxious about things you have absolutely no control over? We'll see what happens after it's all done.
    • But from a reduced viewing audience. What's the world coming to?
    • Yeah I think it’s decent.    There are a few offensive guys I’d like in the 1st, but I think I’d prefer a DE at 15 and a WR in the 2nd or 3rd.    I really like DT Ruke Orhorhoro, but I think he goes in the 2nd.
