With No.34 Pick Would You Draft Alshon Jeffery If Available

Recommended Posts

I would love to see Alshon Jeffery be on the colts roster next season with Andrew Luck.

This could be Andrew and Alshon like Peyton and Marvin.

One of the reasons i want to draft him is because the colts have only one person that is over 6ft and that is Blair White, Alshon is 6-4.

If Andrew Luck had a big target like Alshon that would make is first season alot easier(If Peyton get traded or something of that nature) and give him more confidence going in on the next season.

Tell me what you think we should do with the No.34

If he fell to 34 I would have no problem with the selection of Jeffery. He fits in to the new mold of NFL WR's, tall and athletic (ie. Megatron, Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald, Brandon Marshall) and him along with Garçon and Collie going forward would give Luck or whoever our QB going forward is a good target to throw to. He did underachieve a bit at SC but I have to believe that was due to less than inspiring QB play.

However if he is available at 34, we should take Rutgers WR Mohamed Sanu over Jeffery. Sanu has everything, size, good hands, athleticism, speed to make a great WR, he reminds me a lot of a 6'2" version of Percy Harvin, in the fact that his is a very good wideout, can run the wildcat, run reverses, and is a stellar punt and kick returner. I watch a lot of Big East football and a lot of Rutgers games and I can tell you that Sanu has what it takes to be an elite wideout, he has a much higher ceiling than Jeffery IMO

Alshon, Sanu, and Wright would all be great WR picks IMO. All have first round talent. I would be glad to take any of the top 5 Wide outs if one falls to us. The size of Alshon is definatly a thing that we havent had here in a WR. He would give a nice contrast to playing opposite of Garcon.

Alshon Jeffery, Muhammed Sanu, Dontari Poe

I would be fine with any of those selections in round 2 if available.

Never. Has bust written all over him IMO. If he had any sort of motivation he would lose the weight, trim himself down, and focus on being a better route runner. Not just use his god given ability and run strait and catch passes while using his 6 4 frame. Mohammed Sanu would be way better IMO. If he is there at #34 we should take Sanu

    • I can too. And that will tell us everything we need to know about how the view him. It will tell us their feelings on the tight end room, and what direction they pick from there will tell us even more.    but if they take him at 15, we won’t know much about what might have happened, as they will be landing someone they had rated highly and fell to them.
    • Glad that’s over…    if I wanted to argue about it, I would have responded far more in depth than pointing out how you were attempting to gaslight me. I did not. Meaning I was ending my part of whatever the argument was. You “putting a finality to it” and then listing bullet points tells me it was the argument you wanted all along, which makes sense why you brought Grigson up in the first place. Bait, hook, gaslight. Almost got me buddy. You are a funny guy, Doug
    • Putting a finality on an argument you want to have.   There is a theory that Ballard won't draft a OL high because ARs injuries were not caused by a poor oline.  I felt it important to note that since Luck's major injuries were also not caused by his oline, Ballard could still want to improve it like he did in 2018 simply because AR is The Franchise. And its important to point that out because there has been a running (false) narrative for about 9 years that Luck's oline was the (main) reason for his injuries that kept him out of games.  The (false) narrative is based upon, IMO, a detest of Grigson, and not reality about the facts (or strong rumors) behind the kidney laceration and snowboarding shoulder. Therefore, mentioning Grigson and the (false) narrative was germain to the point about Ballard possibly drafting Oline high this draft to protect AR. Mentioning Grigson shouldn't trigger a CB vs RG discussion, unless people reading it are gaslighted by their own reading lens.
    • That is a very inaccurate description of what happened.  At this point it’s history and doesn’t need to be revisited but I will say Chloe adds value to this board and should be and is by most encouraged to post, even if people don’t always agree with her.
    • My response was in regards to another posted suggesting that the Colts need to get the pick right when it comes to picking a WR. I agree with you .
